  1. I’m located in NE Ohio and will post on Craigslist this week with pictures. I’m presently camping in her on Lake Erie. She has 40369 original miles! I’ve spent the last 3 years restoring her. She’s a Looker! Custom Built! Asking $6000 Firm! She has Never leaked and has no water damage! PM me for more information if interested at markwilliam1@yahoo.com or call 330-928-4116. She has the Full Float 6 lug Rear Axle! Tons of extras included! Too much to list! I also have a Like New very low hours Honda 2000i generator that runs the RV roof AC and a 6 ‘ Excellent Baker scaffolding that fits over the truck cab for servicing! The Generator and scaffolding are an additional $1000. Serious inquires Only!
  2. No link. The cover I bought was little larger then original I just made the hatch hole a bit larger. It’s easily twice as thick as the one I got on eBay!
  3. Correct Derek. What would be the difference in a full float axel for an 85 vs 86? And why have a left hand thread only on the 86?
  4. Thank You Linda! I didn’t think I would ever find a replacement for my original Bargman Grab Bar light. Your Awesome! I also found on eBay old stock Bargman rear light assemblies so Grannie is good to go!
  5. Excellent work Chris! I did the same thing to Grannie. Nice cream interior. Makes it Much brighter and more modern. I also removed the noisy hood fan with poor lighting and installed Led lighting above the stove. My hood fan just vented inside the rig. I installed a Max Fan Deluxe unit over the bunk to vent while cooking.
  6. I bought one of the cheap ones like are on eBay. They are junk. Very flimsy. Went to an RV place and bought a new heavy duty electrical outlet cover. Took out the cheap one and installed the better one. The little door won’t blow off now and latches securely.
  7. That’s interesting! Mine is an 86. The axle was replaced to full float and the wheels are 3 hand hole and no left hand lugs on the drivers side. Guess I got Lucky
  8. I agree! When you turn on your water pump does it stop completely or occasionally turns off and on? If it cycles even a little while turned on you have a water leak somewhere. On Grannie the fresh water tank has lines running under my fridge which is next to the fresh water tank. No way a fridge can produce that much water to soak your floor!
  9. The decals on Grannie are spray painted on. Why not have the body shop paint on you decals and match the colors?
  10. Well my Granville is close to mint and she’s old. That’s why I call her Grannie! You are correct Scott. No matter the condition of these rigs extra work will be required at some point. But I disagree with you regarding price. Have you looked at new RV’s close to the same size as our rigs? And if you have a Toyota RV in good condition appreciation is a Major factor! I can sell Grannie for much more than I paid for her. Try that with a new RV as soon as you drive it off the lot!
  11. Thanks Linda! Didn’t know that. Your always a wealth of knowledge Miss!
  12. Just did No results within 1000 miles from me!
  13. My Honda 2000i runs my Dometic 11k unit without problems but cannot run anything else.
  14. Hey Maineah your Nova Star is my Favorite Toyota RV! My Granville is not solid fiberglass. Wish it was!
  15. I Never see a Toyota Granville for sale! An Amazing rig. Build quality of the coach is Incredible. Does anyone here own one? Am I the only one LOL?
  16. I’m interested in seeing how Joes unit performs when it is hot out and high humidity . When I was with him in Dover it was in the 70s with low humidity but the device enabled him to start the AC repeatedly with his 2000i. Prior to this installation the 2000i would not start the AC. Hoping for the best for him!
  17. Or replace with Bilstein shocks!
  18. Remember Free Bird you’ll probably have to spend quite a bit of extra $$ for needed repairs ie. Tires, etc.
  19. I was So disappointed in the Zep! The weather might affect this Linda. My rig looked fabulous for 2 years though Lol! The Zep did make the faded graphics on Grannie look great for awhile. So I think I found a solution to my faded graphics. WD40! The graphics on Grannie are sprayed on paint not vinyl. I spray WD40 on a cloth and wipe a thin coat on the graphics with it. It restores the color immediately! I know this isn’t permanent but So easy to apply. Doesn’t wash off in the rain. Easy to touch up! I think the paint absorbs the WD40. Interesting, most of the Toyota RVs I’ve seen have vinyl graphics. Don’t think the WD40 would work as well on vinyl or last very long.
  20. Sounds like time for a new pump! Especially if it’s original?
  21. Man your in for a Treat! Good Luck....gunna need it!
  22. Hi Linda I read that 6 coats is Optimal for Zep. Grannie does have rougher fiberglass even though I scrubbed the a.. off her. The rig I saw that had the Zep applied and was 6 years old was a smooth fiberglass body! Perhaps that’s what the difference is? I totally agree Barkeepers Friend is the best!
  23. Unfortunately I worked my butt off cleaning Grannie with Barkeepers Friend! Took Days. I made sure all residue was completely removed and applied 6 coats of Zep. That was 3 years ago. Last year I noticed the Zep was peeling of in little spots! I couldn’t re-coat with Zep due to the uneven nature of Zep pealing off. Long story short had to apply Barkeepers Friend Again over my whole rig to strip off the Zep! I now apply a good formula wax. Will never use Zep again! Others have used it with much success but I’m now concerned about Zeps longevity! Thoughts anyone?
  24. Hey laurnnn! I also have an 86. Make sure you have the full floating rear 6 lug axle! I also carry 2 spares 1 for the front with rim and 1 for the rear with its different rim. This forum taught me how to properly drive Grannie. I do use overdrive but only on long flats or downhill. I shift her regularly. When I’m in 3rd and approaching a hill when the rig Just starts to slow down I shift into 2nd. She revs loud but has power! The minute she gains speed I shift into 3rd again. I do this around town also. This actually results in better gas mileage as it keeps the engine from bogging down! It’s like shifting without a clutch it’s Fun! BTW I’m able to get a solid 15 mpgs driving this way! Welcome!
