Just got back from a Yosemite trip, what a park! Had thought some of us could get together tomorrow (Mon.) but everywhere is all booked up. I was thinking the Bay Area or around Gilroy, Ca.

now all I have left to fix is the oven which won't light the refrigerator which won't get cold in the end house heater which won't do anything!

the new Toyota alternator was bad. I think when I reconnected the new house battery I put it in backwards and that must have shut the current up to the alternator inside fuse. Is that possible? This thing was brand new from Toyota there's no way it could just be bad. Took it to Toyota yesterday it's under warranty but they couldn't look at it till next week. My camping trip starts today. Going to Big Basin in the Bay Area to see the redwoods. Tuesday Wedneday Wednesday in Yosemite.when edible remanufactured alternator at o'reillys party store. 69 dollars. Them was it didn't fit like 2 toyota alternator. The bottom bracket for the long bogus true could not get in there. Finally had to take a hacksaw and trim the alternator in order for to slip in.spent 3 hours fighting with this thing. Just to save $45 at the mechanics. Next time I let the mechanic do it. Started up the Toyota and all the dash lights went off so it looks like it's fixed now. I'm having the brand new Toyota alternator fixed so that I have a spare. Hopefully this is the end of the saga. Thank you for all your collective wisdom out there in Council.

Would like to invite any Bay Area residents to meet up and check out each others Toy. I would like it to also be a learning time for those inexperienced rv's like me who can gleen from you old timers like Linda S.Thank you for all your help so far. I have been in Gilroy past 10 days fixing up the 1985 Dolphin 500,a real labor of love! Any takers out there?

Bought the RV with a dead coach battery.So why out of the blue suddenly the charge light stays on and the hand brake warning light stays on? I drove the RV from Stockton to San Jose probably 3 or 4 hours if the altinator wasnt charging wouldn't the battery go dead? I put it on a charge today, the engine battery, and it was charged almost full. Tried charging the coach battery Khmerwhat should I do? How can a Toyota dealer alternator with 200 miles act up? I will try and find a friend with an ohm meter to see if its getting proper charge

This is the parking brake light. Have a new Toyota center alternator and battery. Why has the charge light not gone off? I will disconnect the coach battery and see if that makes a difference.

brake warning dash light will not go off. Even after I depress the switch it wont go off. I noticed the blinker makes it pulsate. I just put in a brand new Napa coach battery. They said it was fully charged. Discharge light will not go off since installing. Does that mean the alternator is still charging up that battery? Will that dash light go off once the coach battery is full? Okay guys there u go what should I do, and gals, especially Linda.?

I moved that bulb into the small pilot flame but still no oven flame. I have the pilot setting on the Wedgewood. Will go get a BBQ lighter and try that. Heater won't come on either, just makes a faint click.

es I did have a reducer on the city water hose. Can that little rubber gromet inside the valve be replaced? The oven won't come on even with the pilot light on. I read to remove the small ball underneath the pilot light and bring it up so that the flame of the pilot light makes it grLow and then the oven gas will come on is that true as mine still doesn't come on? The heater just makes a slight click but never lights. John you said build the dinette table same size as the opening but how does one slide into the bench area with the tabletop all the way against the cabinets?

It will be a very fortunate buyer when he gets your rig. Can you comment on my other propane problems under general discussion called Ac out of order? I did the ac fan belt! Also that city water connector valve leaks a lot. Doesn't seem there is much extra hose to cut at camper inside h2o tube where the plug in shore power cable is, how do I stop the leak?

Another problem. Stove top works but oven won't, even with pilot on an hour. Hot water burner working OK but rv heater won't come on, just makes a click and nothing. Fridge sparker works as you peer through the peep hole when lighting on gas setting but no heat on backside so it doesn't work but on electric plugged in the vevt heated up a bit.What is the advice? Don't care if fridge works but want a heater and oven for the wife!

Wish I would have know about this site as I paid way too much for my 85 Dolphin with 43,000 miles, the only plus! Do I need to check the brakes with such little milage? Can I remove the ac belt from my 1985 22RE motor to save fuel?

I pick up my 85 Dolphin 500 series May 2nd and fix her up min Los gatos, Bay area till my oldest brother arrives from jersey the 17th of May and we take off for a week of "getting the bugs out",..seeing how this and that works and what don't. We wanted to head to Yosemite and cross over the pass at tioga but will it be closed may 20th?

Where can I get an original rear dinette table for my 85 Dolphin 500 series? Can someone take a pic of this one so at least I know what it's supposed to look like? Thanks Tom

As a kid of 5 stuffed in the station wagon crossing the country we had a small cardboard game with slider windows that when you saw a cow or stop sign pictured in the window you would call out and shut it. 1st one to shut all the windows won, anyone remember that game?

Wow, incredible machine, when did the company go out of business and why? Are these still around on Craigslist? Cool and like the turbo diesel 30mpg!

I'm looking forward to 1st time using my 85 dolphin May 17th with my 12 yr old son and Older brother in Ca. Can't wait! Yosemite, south to Death Valley then West to the Ca. coast Big Sur and back to the Bay Area!
