New Mystery Motorhome-- ID Help?
Derek up North replied to babs & rose's topic in General Discussion
This is a 1984 Dolphin. It has very similar door/window/vent configuration. The only thing missing is the propane hatch at the back corner. The 1985 did not have the 'double' side windows. -
New Mystery Motorhome-- ID Help?

I'm going to guess that at some point in it's life it had a rubber roof added which would explain (perhaps) what looks like trim holding the edge where it wrapped over the roof edge and a bit down the side walls. Do you have any other pictures to help identify it? -
Fridge use on a long trip

In many places it's against the law to have your propane appliances lit while refueling. Some places you're not supposed to use your cellulars at the pump. -

For those who leave your pilot lit while gassing up, do you also smoke a cigarette at the same time? -

It looks like this fuel pickup has been crudely modified from stock to lower the pump/pickup, which would make sense since your fabricated tank is deeper than stock. I guess they'd do something similar for the fuel lever sender. Yours is probably similar.

You're never going to get a tank 100% full. If you assume the 14" height only gets filled to 13", you're right on 29 US Gallons.

Who knows? Sunrader is famous for doing 1 offs. Maybe they built a Nissan with an oversized tank.
-
Try to take a picture. Sunrader also offered a larger capacity tank in the Toyotas. Perhaps also the Nissan. They were 'boxy'.

All the CPESs are thin and runny so that they can 'soak in' deeper before setting up. https://www.google.com/search?q=how+clear+penetrating+epoxy+works&client=firefox-b-d&sxsrf=ALeKk01J3BRMl5P_jOH6l0wlXjGtHjL0lA:1596126483114&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwizkKvAsvXqAhX5hHIEHcGBBeQQ_AUoA3oECA0QBQ&biw=1366&bih=635

Just another CPES (Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealant) as far as I can tell. It will make 'punky' wood a solid block, but I have my doubts that the result will have the structural integrity of 'real' solid wood.

Yes. Inverter generators.
