  1. Yes, like that. But did U-Haul buy in with the 4 cylinder? Or did they wait for the V6 before adding them to their fleet?
  2. New for $115? Amazon & O'Reilly's. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BWD0/21950/02169.oap?year=1991&make=Toyota&model=Pickup&vi=1277861&ck=Search_02169_1277861_4740&pt=02169&ppt=C0018
  3. I believe it was said in an earlier post that it did NOT overheat while climbing with the A/C off because I very nearly posted suggesting to switch it off while climbing. But that seemed to me to be too obvious a solution and perhaps not acceptable to some in warmer climates than mine. I believe some vehicles were fitted with vacuum switches that would disable the A/C under high load conditions (accelerating or climbing).
  4. Kind of hard to blame Toyota. It's a Ford.
  5. Repurposed Toyotas isn't what I'd call a new development. Or news to Toyota. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wgVeqz_4Yvs/UPPWR7D_wUI/AAAAAAAADTg/IE2C2Qnym9E/s1600/Toyota-sells-death-in-Libya.png
  6. However, you can use DOT 5.1 "Since DOT 4 and 5.1 are both glycol-based brake fluids they are compatible with each other, which means they can be readily mixed without harming your brake system. It is important never to mistake DOT 5.1 (glycol-based) with DOT 5 which is silicone-based and should never be mixed with any other DOT fluid." http://www.epicbleedsolutions.com/resources/faq/difference-between-dot4-and-dot51-brake-fluid/
  7. I believe your so-called 'roof rack' might be your antenna.
  8. Turtle bills himself as "co-owner toyota-campers group". I believe Tika is also a co-owner. I'm not sure if there are currently any others. 'Ownership' does (somehow) change hands.
  9. "It'll go 80mph, though it's not really safe ..." I think that I'd reword this.
  10. Reading that the shocks were 'too long' even when fully compressed, my first thought was "I wonder how sagged the rear springs are?".
  11. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2014-chevrolet-cruze-diesel-first-drive-review
  12. If anyone has a Toyota Motorhome with one of those Rotary-Distibutor type pumps installed, I'll gladly move it to a more appropriate Section. JD, 'Word Police' would imply that I've censored some of you words. I haven't. All I ever do is 'Spill Chuck' sometimes.
  13. General Discussion - The place to discuss your Toyota Motorhome I think I'll relocate this, since I don't think there's any discussion of TOYOTA diesels.
  14. JD, can you post the 4th page of that test? Sounds like they divulge some more details about the 'Towing Package'.
  15. The $600 is for the add-on camping stuff, van not included.
  16. I don't know if there ever was a 'deal'. Or maybe the invitation got lost in the mail. Canada Post is still notorious for this. http://www.sparknotes.com/history/american/articles/section8.rhtml
