acording to this site NATIONAL RV ARCHIVES the makers of the SEABREEZE AND THE DOLPHIN the late 80s and later came all models with the 17.2 standerd eq. check this site you will find it interesting i think. i have the 87 dolphin just got so i havent filled up yet .
  3. Well Derek i did have the complete set of 1977 78 fsm books ems control . service spec, 20rmoter body and chassis. but the body and chassis books covered my 20 r corona wagen which my son rolled begin ing drivers aways know everthing. but they were nice to have later i had a 1978 truck and then the 1978 18 foot minmax but as i just sold the minimax and i thru in all my vintage toyota books soory out of stock.
  4. JUST wondering if you guys know what those roof air units sell for new . they list in the rv catlogs for 1000 dollors. so a good used one is highly salable. HEAR in central washington state which can easy reach 110 deg cars and rvs mostly all have air.
  5. five hundred to 1000 dollors must be brand new the wrecking yards where i live often have moter homes and slid in campers you can buy parts off . rv dealer here says same prices for new. but a GOOD SHAPE used one would be ok i think.
  6. Maybe it still has some air in the brakes somewhere
  7. I owend a sears eletric start lawen mower with that same enguine a 6.5 horse TECUMSEH the starter even looks the same the mower has a 12 volt gell cell battery . may be you could match it up with one off of a lawen mower myn was a 22 inch cut . still runs good my dauter has it now. but i mow her yard with it. From that picture it shure looks very same thing.
  8. i just checked this site NATIONAL RV ARCHIVES that is indeed a model 500 rear dinette.
  9. THE rear dinette is not a 400 as i have a 1987 400 that has a rear bathroom and two couches and two tables. i think it might be a 500 they madea rear dinette 500 WARNING BRAKES THAT SET YEARS UNTOUCHED WILL ALMOST AWAYS START LEAKING I have seen this before I WOULD REPLACE THE BRAKES COMPLETE. INC mas ter cylinder
  10. a few years ago w e made a trip from all controled washington state to the wide open cowboy state of WY OMING and what did we bring home a handfull of those wonderful illegal gas can spouts. to put on my collection of fine good old outlawed real gas cans. AND IF YOU READ THE FINE PRINT ON SOME OF THOSE GOV>ORG JUNK GAS CANS IT SAYS NOT FOR USE TO REFILL MOTER VEHICLES. you tell me that one.
  11. that is what is known as an add a room kit they are still in rv catlogs . a frend of myn had one for his moterhome i have seen it once. might be good to set inside out of reach of the mosquitos. I rember seeing in the catlog they arnt cheap nice to have.
  12. DEREK i am checking my 1988 truck factory oweners guide it says the short wheelbase 17.2 us gallons the long wheelbase is 19.3.according to a site on national rv national rv arquive dolphion and seabreze came with the 17.2 all models .BUT the 1978 short box trucks i had one and my 1978 minimax moterhome had a 14 gallon tank. the early long bed had a larger tank.
  13. IF it was me i would unhook the cables off the starting battery to charge it aways disconect the ground first and put the ground on last BUT SOMBODY MAY SAY ITS OK I CANT TELL YOU THAT
  14. maybe somebody knows myn is too but i am just going to live withit . i can tell you national rv has been out of busness . for several years
  15. WELCOME These guys are so nice and right on the points we went from a tent to a 18 foot 1978 with only a tolit astove and heater we thought we were on top of the world in door pluming out in the woods as we are both almost 60 we gave our tent away we just moved up to a 1987 21 foot dolphin . waiting to make our first trip. I WOULD RECOMD POWER STEARING ths dolphion stears so nice not all of them have it my 1978 did not have power stearing and when parking required heaving on the wheal at great effert. I know A LADY HAS A OLDER DOLPHIN NO POWER STERING SHE HAS A TIME PARKING IT . watch YOUR MIRRORS AND WAT CH YOUR SELF IN WIND IN SHORT WATCH EVERTHING AND enjoy.
  16. you can somwhat check a water pump wigle the fan should be no play at all if you see the pully wobble at all put on a new pump. TOYOTA that i have usally lasted many thousands of miles . they ARE NOT problamatic like other makes on the four cylinders anyway not like some GM PRODUCTS i have owend a toyota four since 1983 i have averaged 100000 miles before changing . I do not buy any rebuilt water pumps only brand new my DOLPHIN IS MY SEVENTH TOY oTA all fours MANY YEARS AGO going across the vast uninhabited desert of southeren Wy OMING i carred a spare water pump a nd hose and water in my 20r wagen
  17. that looks like one of those auto lite water heaters sombody on hear should know about them myn is manuel light
  18. the compression WHITE ARE THE NEW TYPE FITTINGS they work WELL my DOUBLE WIDE HAS THE SAME not shure the dirc on that valve somtimes you just have to try it.
  19. one of those looks lihe a pull to drain for winter drain see if you can find under the moter home two drain tubes coming down through the floor . when you fill with water turn diierent valves of f and on that way you can find out what turns what off and on . THAT IS the same Pluming and fittings used in mobile homes it is not too hard to fix or get parts for when you start your water heater and hot water check to see which pipes get warm
  20. read my post on your profile the b210 was a great little car i replaced the SUCKO TACHI HITACHI CARB with a webber they just never made a toyota quality carb
  21. are you cool i bought a brand new 1974 4 door B210 did the same diode plate drove 24 years run over by a big dump truck 24000o miles

  22. HI BOOTS I WAS WONDERING WHATT STATE YOU ARE IN you have good advice for safe rving and you are right about the ins info for shure.
  23. nothing wrong with top quality after market auto parts i have also been using them myself for many years. somtimes dealer ships are not the same. they are often too high some are bad dishonst places. many years ago my dad bought a brand new car with a two year warenty the dealer was so bad the warenty was not worth the paper it was printed on. took the car to a very nice two man independt shop pay for work out of pocket . YES I SHOP AT THE PRO SHOPS THERE ARE INDEPENT SHOPS I WILL NEVER GO TOO SO I WISH YOU A FINE SEASON OF RVING I also think a strike aginst campers is they dont get run a lot
  24. what year is that the 1978 and older have a adjustment on the slave cylinder those you should be able to just wigle the throw out fork. all the models have adjustment under the dash. you should just have a little slac in the pedal c heck with your handbefore it starts to push the master cyclinder in. under the dash you can losen the lock nut on the rod when you turn the rod clock wise or counter clockwise to shorten or lenghtn the pedal stroke if the pedal does not come back far enough the fluid can not go back in to the master cylinder also there should be a spring on the pedal. i dont know if you are experanced driving a clutch . using the clutch pedal for a foot reast will lead to rapid wear out of the clutch.
