  1. Your local rv place will have them in stock. Its a standard size. ITS NOT a household wax gasket.
  2. I guess you don't watch Myth Busters???
  3. A pure sine converter will let your microwave run at full power, so it won't run as long as it would with a modified sine wave converter. This would help with your battery life. In any case your going to be pulling about 100 amps out of your battery. Remember its bad to discharge a battery below 50%. So use that as you calculate how long your battery would last. Running the engine would be a big help when running the microwave..
  4. Like 2 tone do ya? You have a perfect styling line at the dividing joint, make the whole bottom the color as the hatches. You could even use the cab color and a few stripes.
  5. Use a skill saw set at the correct depth. Cut as close to the edge as you can. This will remove most of the plywood and let you see what the damage is. If its fixable you can wiggle the edge up and down to break the glue loose. If its bad the throw in some braces and supports and lay a new sheet of plywood so that it rests on the lip and the supports and press on.
  6. 95% are glued in. Can you repair the flange with something like JB Weld??
  7. The GM warranty rule was a qt every 800 was OK. So well a qt every 1500 ain't great by Toyota standards, its OK. WME
  8. Most auto part stores have a dye to put in the oil. Clean engine use dye, drive for a half hour and then at night use a black light to look for tell tale green.
  9. One thing to also think about in the Toy vs Chevy class C discussion. How much storage space is there? Its amazing, with 3 females, the amount of "stuff" you'll "have" to bring.
  10. With 2 people and careful showers, we could go 2 days. The problem was the gray tanks size, not fresh water. We had enough freshwater for 3-4 days. Of course you could just "leak" the gray water somewhere. Look at the Class B van conversions, not Toyota MPG, but better ground clearance and more common size tires. Just have to make up the bed each stop.
  11. AC outlets are powered by shore power or generator. Check the bulbs in the clearance lights and cleaning the contacts is the first step.
  12. Maybe you should go into the rent a snake business. Help other Toy owners with the same problem. WME
  13. Overheat.... 1 Blocked airflow through radiator 2 Fan shroud missing or wrong one 3 Lower hose collapsing (rare) 4 Water pump bad
  14. Many of the better auto repair shops have a frame straightening rack and its done cold. They will use pivot points and hydraulic power, somewhat brutal to watch but it is a science that works well.
  15. With modern high dertegent oils, droping the pan is a waste of time. It will be clean 86 factory book says 4.9 qts with filter
  16. Try this out. Although if your roof dimple is too deep this might not work. http://www.van-pan-man.com/
  17. Just remove the arm from the adjustment bolt and tie the arm to the frame. If still no change, then you may have a bad regulator.
  18. Yes both help noise, there is enough air moving under the hooh to prevent heat problems. Also add Refletix under to carpet to reduce heat into the cab.
  19. Two basic rules to follow. 1. Speed (power) cost money, so how fast is your wallet? 2. The only substitute for cubic inches is cubic money. HP=rpm, lugging your toy up a hill in 4th, you reach a balance point where hp= drag and incline. Down shifting gives you more rpm and thats more HP. As long as the hill isnt "forever" downsfiting is better on the engine and doesnt effect the overall MPG very much.
  20. Wrapping an exhaust pipe works for heat reduction, but it kills the lifespan.
  21. The tank overflow line should go from the top of the tank to a place outside. That way when the tank is full the water runs out on the ground and you know the tank is full.
