  1. Here's a link to the Adventure pics. You will have to join the group to see them though I think http://groups.yahoo.com/group/toyota-campers/photos/album/192372462/pic/list
  2. I get notes left on my campers every week asking if I want to sell and people always stop and ask questions if I'm out there doing something to them. Kind of an attention getter cause I have 2 shorty Sunraders in my driveway. Also meet new people every time I camp just asking about my bitty camper. I don't mind at all. Linda S
  3. Never heard of one getting tighter. Mine always loosen up so i do it at least every couple of years. I use Ove gloves to get the valve cover off and adjust. Kind of like having cartoon hands but you get used to it and can work faster cause your fingers are not on fire. Linda S
  4. Try asking here http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Toyota_Motorhome_Tech/ The owner of this site owned a sunrader pop up for several years and knows more about them than anyone. Ask for Bob Linda S
  5. Can someone take a look at this and tell us what kind of awning goes into this thing. Pic above. I have no awnings on any of mine so don't know Linda S
  6. If you want to get an answer you need to be more specific in your question. Most people would prefer to answer online. Are you asking what kind of motorhome you have? Must be a name somewhere, door jam? look around. Or post some pictures Linda S
  7. I use the water in my tank for everything. If your water at home tastes OK why not. I did have a problem for a while with the tank water tasting tanky. Can't really describe it any other way but it wasn't good. I found out it was my hose at home imparting that nasty taste. Got new RV hoses and now it's great. I do disinfect with bleach often especially if it has been sitting a while. Rinse thoroughly Linda
  8. Yes those look nasty. Any auto parts store should have them but people seem to get better results at Napa. As far as Gulfstream not knowing they made your camper I'm not surprised. Manufacturers manuals were not much of anything anyway. It's the other stuff inside manuals you need. They are all on the Toyota-campers site in the files section. Talking about fridge and stove and water heater. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/toyota-campers/ What else do you need to know about it. Gross vehicle weight on your rig was never over 10,000 lbs. GVWR for the truck is only 6000lbs. They must be confusing you with a Chevy Linda S Maybe if you give them a model number. 3 digit model numbers are toyota's- conquest and ultra http://www.nadaguides.com/RVs/1991/Gulf-Stream
  9. Just my regular Toyota jack and the tools for changing the tire. I also carry a couple of cresent wrenches and some screw drivers. Nothing major. I always have Rescue tape with me though and some butyl tape. Fix hoses and seal leaks in a jiffy. Linda S
  10. Check the gross vehicle weight rating and pick the one that can handle the most weight. Linda S
  11. Wrap around front windows are available at Advantage RV in Napa Ca. Takes about a month from order to pick up and they charge 100 bucks for installation. Last time I checked the windows were $275 but that was a couple of years ago. https://plus.google.com/110828838801091875269/about?gl=us&hl=en#110828838801091875269/about?gl=us&hl=en Linda S
  12. I'm really very surprised. When I do the roof of my Sunrader I'm literally laying in it for a long time. Tank top and shorts, I'm covered with that stuff and I probably eat a bunch too. Never bothered me one bit. Linda S
  13. Well it can't be too strong cause I've never used gloves and never noticed any irritation. So I guess I'll try not to feed to much to the grandkids Linda S
  14. Bar keepers friend has no chemicals of any kind in it. If they can use it at the Bar it has to be non toxic. I never use gloves with it. If you mean the Polyglow yes use gloves Linda S
  15. Well I hope it's everything you need and want. Sounds well taken care of. By the way 24 feet is not a monster. They look big in the pics but are really quite small. Only 3 feet longer than the toyhomes Linda S
  16. Yup. Izusu diesel. Of course diesel costs more but still great mileage for a bigger motorhome. Have seen an ad for another type motorhome with this engine and a lower profile and they said with careful driving they could get 20mpg. Linda S
  17. Well we will be sorry to see you go Randy. Do you know what your looking for. A really nice small class A was just listed on my site. Diesel and gets 15 mpg from what I hear. Is listed at a very low price. http://boise.craigslist.org/rvd/3683213867.html Linda S Found one closer if you want to see what they look like in person http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/rvs/3681708877.html
  18. I found another pop up handle with a gear on the end. Their pics aren't very good but maybe you could email them and get measurements to see if it would fit. Looks very much like yours http://www.rvworkshop.com/index.php/products/heco-glide-up-crank Linda S
  19. I saw that one when it was for sale. You got a screaming deal. 3 or 4 have sold on ebay in that time though but like I said. Who cares if there are 20 or 30. Still a rare desireable motorhome. There are only about 10 of the Nissan v6 Sunrader that I own but they will never be worth the kind of money the 4x4's are. Is the turbo diesel Chinook a new purchase too. There was a discussion about one for sale on this site not long ago. Linda S Oops missed the part about you building the Chinook. People here are going to want to see pics of that too
  20. There were supposed to be only 26. Don't really know where that info came from the the plant manager still has an RV shop in Napa, CA. I think there are more. Every year for the last 10 years on toyota motorhomes sites I see at least a couple I have never seen before. they are starting to add up. Doesn't really matter, still very few and very in demand. There's one right now on the sale site for this group for 27,500.It is the most I have ever seen one listed for but they easily get 18 thou if in good shape Where did you find yours and how long have you owned it. You have quite a nice list of toy homes there. Linda S
  21. Polish with bar keepers friend. Like comet but no bleach and much finer no scratch formula available at home depot and Ace hardware, very cheap. Then wax with good quality automotive wax. Some people use Polyglow too but I haven't tried it. find online Linda S
  22. Very few of those Sunraders were made. Yes please post a pic and maybe some will have an idea of something that will work. Chances of finding an original one are very slim Linda S
  23. All Sunrader clearance lights are run from the back one on the passenger side across the back to the other side to the front and ends at the front passenger side. Start by checking the first one for current and go from there. Linda S
  24. Is this an American made motorhome or a Landcruiser based motorhome? 75 series? Sometimes hard to tell on this site where people are Linda S
  25. If you mean 1975 year model it would probably be a Chinook. Have you asked on the toyota Chinook site on yahoo? http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/toyotachinook/ They know everything about the Chinook there. You might be able to find something that would work by searching for parts for a pop top camper trailer or truck camper. Many manufacturers used very similar parts. Linda S
