Pipes into the water heater are pretty rusted. Yes some water heaters have electric ignition. If your coach battery is good and you have propane in the tanks and water in the fresh water tank it should light. Need to fix the leak first. So you know how to get into this area where is the leak coming from. Is it all wet in here? Got to narrow this down. Fill fresh water tank and run the water. If the leak is connected to the water system and not the outside water hook up it's easier to see without so much water pressure and you can stop it by stopping the pump. Linda S

My Sunrader has a little ring you pull up near the water pump.Different floor plans have them in different places but checking for the drain tube will work. Very likely you just have broken pipes though. Your going to have to find out where exactly the leak is coming from and most importantly if there is water inside somewhere. You might have to take some things apart to let it dry out. The water heater is probably not electric start and you light them from the outside. Open door and they light much like a home water heater. Turn to pilot and hold switch down while you light it with a barbeque lighter, then hold for about 30 seconds to warm thermocouple and turn to on. Check and make sure it's stays lit. Linda S

The radio runs on the engine battery and no I have never heard of someone connecting it to the coach battery. Plenty of 12 volt radios out there that you can put in the back. That solar system needs to be connected to the power converter charger system to charge your batteries. Solar systems don't put out 110 power. 12 or 24 at the most. If you need more 110 your going to have to install an inverter 12 to 110 somewhere. Even with solar support running lots of 110 can run down your batteries. Linda S

Butyl tape is very flexible. You can reposition stuff easily. When I put my windows in trust me I didn't get them in the right place right away. Linda S

Hmm that tranny was used on the Corvette and Camaro and full sized trucks. I can see how they could experience a lot of problems.I'm thinking a little S10 especially with an RV attached might have not taken quite that kind of stress. Linda S

Very good tires. pressure is about what I keep in mine and the torque sounds close. I think the torque on the rear is a little higher like 170 but I have had my wheels off lots of times and I have never torqued them . Nothing has ever fallen off. I stand on the lug wrench and jump a little. Very exacting skills I have Linda S

I've never seen T9 air springs on a Sunrader. They used either Firestone Ride-Rite or Air lift. Kind of important that you figure out which one it is. My 86 Sunrader is Ride-Rite. You also need to check the lines coming from the bags. If it's just a leaking line will be much easier to fix. Do yours hold air at all. if so blow it up and then spray with soapy water and see if you see bubbles. I use kids bubble stuff from the dollar store. Had to have my propane lines checked not long ago and the professional stuff didn't bubble at all but my kids bubbles showed the leak immediately. Give it a try and try to see the model, take the rear wheels off one side to see. Then get back to us Linda S

Not a Toyota but about the same size. Most of these Bandits were put on Toyota chassis. This is a v6 though and as far as I know there is only one v6 bandit with a Toyota chassis. Cooling unit is the way to go. They come with complete instructions and considering your a quick study I'm sure you could figure out how to install it. About 400 bucks. My fridge didn't work when I first bought it and I did the block ice in a dish pan thing for several months. Worked OK but so love my fridge after I got it fixed. That was almost 10 years ago and still working fine so cooling unit is not a short lived repair. I use butyl tape in my home sinks and fittings now. Works great and seems to make up for my bad plumbing cause nothing is leaking so far Linda S

And yet Paul was able to call and have his VIN checked to see if his vehicle qualified. I can't imagine a situation where they would check to see if you qualified for an expired service campaign. Their own docs say no expiration. Whomever you talked to probably was reading the poorly worded doc that you posted instead of the full service campaign. Customer service reps are not known for their extensive training. If anyone needs this done I strongly urge you to print this document and take it to a Toyota dealer. Randy that sounds like a great program. I know as a minister to some of the prison population you know these men have many good qualities and can be educated to make a better life for themselves and that would make the world a safer place. I also know that the highest risk population is not usually a part of these educational programs. Costs a lot to keep people in prison and it's nice to know that some of us could benefit from that expense. I'll check in my area for any programs Linda S

There are so many v6 Toyota motorhomes with really low miles that I think the extended for ever warranty is kind of just for us. Trucks those years mostly already have 100's of thousands of miles. I've seen many motorhomes with way less than 50,000. Less miles for the bad gasket to fail but you don't even need it to fail to have it replaced under this campaign. Perfect opportunity to get major service done at the same time and in Anthony's case get his truck fixed for nothing. Who's going to complain about that. Linda S

First special service campaign in 96 was for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Second in DEC 97 gave all the early v6 trucks only one more year for repairs and concentrated on the late 1990 to 1994 and that section DID NOT have an expriation date. Don't know what to tell you guys except for the fact that Toyota is still doing them and quite a few have been done in the last few years.
