  1. Try calling this place. One of the largest used parts places for Toyota trucks on the west coast. http://www.calminitruck.com/ They have an onsite mechanic who could put it in for you Linda S
  2. This is the part number but it's is discontinued by Toyota. Toyota Part No.: 83710-89138 You were in the bay area. Tons of Toyota parts available in the area and even more in Sacramento. Just keep trying along the way. Oh and I guessed that you had a 4 speed manual trannie. If not I need to get a different part number for you Linda S
  3. Well at this point, I gotta tell ya. The Odyssey has left the building. Your going to have to come up with something new to call it. Linda S
  4. Gee I don't count my flushes. One person being careful can make the tiny tank last 7 days before it comes up in the shower. On the road or camping there are almost always other places to go to make it last longer. Linda S
  5. You guys certainly know how to live. Linda S
  6. There are no 4x4 Sunraders with a V6. I've only seen one with a larger engine and that one they somehow managed to squeeze a Chevy 350 into. Rest of the truck was rough though. I have gotten stuck in the mountains because my 22re just wasn't strong enough to pull me out, hit stall speed. A V6 would have made it a breeze. No I don't have a 4x4, no I shouldn't have been there but hey you only live once. I did get out. Sometimes crazy is a good place Linda S
  7. You already own it. Your creating a brand new specialty vehicle and it will be worth a fat wad on money. This was for sale a couple of yours ago for somewhere way above 50 grand and I think yours is going to be nicer. Yours will also have a V6 https://www.vanspecialties.com/gallery_van/yota-4x4/ Linda S
  8. I think I finally managed to save this photo. Nice example of what some new decals can do. On a Sunrader so will look similar to yours
  9. Well if you figure out that your going to have a 4x4 Odyssey worth 70 grand the price will seem cheaper. Just found a thread with some mileage specs on that Fuso camper and they are very impressive considering the weight I thought I'd posted this, but can't find it in this thread. Fuel consumption over 100,000 km and 157 tank fills.Best consumption was Scandinavia and India / Nepal. Consistent low speed, long runs. 13.0 l/100km - 21.8 mpg.Worst was Turkey. Higher speed, steeper hills, higher ambient temperature. 21.0 l/100km - 13.5 mpg. Most 4wd was in Morocco. Slow speed, lower tyre pressure, softish sand. 14.8 l/100km - 19.2 mpg.Average for nearly 100,000km whole trip 16.5 l/100km - 17.2 mpg.Simplistically speed has most effect, changing speed and gear changes increase consumption, surface, probably fuel quality, and 4wd was well masked. 10. This is just the bathroom door. Little screwed in latch on the frame catches the flipper on the door. Like a screen door. Knife or something slide in between door and frame and brought up quickly will open it. Hell yank it had and it should open. Easy to pull latch on door frame right off. Linda S
  11. One of our new guys here works at Earthcruiser. Built on a Fuso 4x4 chassis in America. They are about as close as you can get to that Pinzgauer. Linda S
  12. I think the attraction is diesel and 4x4. If any were left hand drive I would probably be dropping a wad of cash too. I look on eBay Germany from time to time and dream. Linda S
  13. This isn't a gray area anymore. These vehicles are 25 years old and don't need to meet US specs. The main problem I can see with the guy who started this thread is that your spending a lot of money on a vehicle you can't see and drive first. We all know about the hidden problems of buying an older vehicle no matter how well it's been cared for. There is a guy in Portland who has been importing lots of 4x4 diesel and gas motorhomes lately. If anyone is interested in finding one keep an eye on Portland craigslist. They come up pretty often. Linda S
  14. Well Derek does love to play Devil's Advocate. He is not the only person here though. Our current Toyota motorhomes are getting pretty darn old and I am happy to learn about possible newer options. Don't really love the right hand drive thing but I know many do it and have no problem with it. I personally appreciate your willingness to share more information when asked. Others in the past have been one shot ads with no response to questions. Linda S The other moderator
  15. LC engineering has the goods on the switch. http://www.lcengineering.com/LCNewsletter/2013/OCTOBER/timingchaintech.html Looks like it started long before the 22re Linda S
  16. It says the name right there. Cross member sub assembly front. Part number has been replaced by this https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-cross-member-5120135170 Lots of online Toyota dealers showing it. If yours can't find it go somewhere else. It's all on their computer Linda S
  17. Not a good idea. Sooner or later that cap you fashion will fly off and very likely cover the windshield of the car behind you. Probably why no one makes such a thing. They would get sued constantly. Linda S
  18. That's a newer Tundra and they are huge. Cab height makes a big difference in how the Sunrader will fit too. Lower cab. Sleeker nicer look. I was checking out a couple of beautiful trucks parked side by side a while back. Tacoma and F150. Exactly the same size. If anything the Ford might have been a little smaller. Old Tundras are way smaller than today's Tacomas. Linda S
  19. They are in Australia. Buy them from Japan. I'm guessing they procure them after order and ship direct to buyers country.
  20. Well we already have some Isuzu motorhomes here that were made before 1994 like this one. 1990 turbo diesel 4x4 for sale for 27,500 near Portland Oregon. Only 42,000 miles on it too Linda S
  21. No big version won't fit Tacoma. It's small I can tell just by looking at it Linda S
  22. I thought you couldn't get it off the door. What are you trying to accomplish. Fix the lock mechanism? I'll have to take mine apart again. No easy replacements. There are a couple that fit the door hole but you have to install a conventional plate on adjoining wall like a home door lock. Linda S
