SCRIPAL
Does any know where I can find a replacement for a 1989 Dolphin? Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

91Raider
You can try EBay , i found one a few years ago..
linda s
This part has been discontinued by Toyota and I did think that dealer on Ebay was the only source but I just did a search and it comes up on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-42621-35180-Wheel-Cover/dp/B00LO27682 Returns on Amazon are very easy so it's certainly worth a try. Let us know. I think lots of people need them Linda S
SCRIPAL
Thanks for all the responses about the center cap. Believe it or not, I have found a wrecked Dolphin very close to where I live and it is exactly like mine except it has been abused. I tried to purchase both center caps but for some reason the owner is not interested. The RV is a total wreck but there are lots of good parts on it. In the event the owner decides to part it out, I will post on the site. PS. Linda, thanks for the lead but the item you cited on Amazon is a 14" wheel cover for a Toyota truck, my center cap is much smaller. Back East Don
The part number Linda linked is referenced as #7 Toyota part 42621-35180 EDIT: The dimensions listed on Amazon though are large for this size cap
linda s
Your wheel is 14 inches. Not the center cap. I got the part number from Toyota and this is exactly the same part number. On other sites you will find that it is for the WT chassis and that means the dual wheel chassis. Just found an old email link I sent to someone for this part from the eBay guy who used to have them. Same part number. Linda S Like I said it's easy to send back when you buy from Amazon. I think it's far more likely that the description would be wrong than the part number
SCRIPAL
The schematic certainly looks like what I need so I will order it today. Thanks to you Linda and Back East Don!
Derek up North
Well, if you trust this (and other) Toyota parts people, 42621-35180 is not the correct part. "CAP #42621-35180 for your 1990 Toyota Pickup SR5 with a 3.0L V6." (@ $23.34) http://www.toyotascionpartsdirect.com/toyota/pickup/4262135180/1990-year/sr5-trim/3-0l-v6-gas-engine/front-suspension-cat/wheels-scat/?part_name=cap I'd contact the Amazon Seller and ask them to measure the diameter of the part before ordering, no matter how excellent Amazon's return policy is. http://www.oremorautomotive.com/contact-form.htm
SCRIPAL
Thanks Derek have already done so and I have found this type thing happens all the time....part is supposed to fit but doesn't. I even sent a photograph. UPDATE: This Amazon seller does not respond to emails nor answers the phone. I think they are out of business. linda s
dimensions of part 7 in that diagram are 14cm diameter outside and 13cm inside. Gail bought the same part from the ebay guy who had them and it was the correct part. Maybe the Amazon retailer is posting the wrong part number cause I don't think Toyota changes their part numbers Linda S By the way Derek this is the part you posted on the toyota-campers group several years ago. If you click on the overstock link and look at assemblies you will se WT. WT always means dual wheel chassis Toyota P.N. 42621-35180 http://www.toyotapartseast.com/parts/toyota-42621-35180_cap-wheel.htmlhttp://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/p/TOYOTA__4RUNNER/CAP--WHEEL/3927859/4262135180.html
Derek up North
Yes, I know I posted the PN (once), but there was no further comment on it to confirm that it was correct. I don't trust anything I read on the net, not even if I'm the poster!
Derek up North
Here 's another cap PN:- 42621-35181 (DISC WHEEL & WHEEL CAP (4RUNNER,TRUCK (VZN85),95; INCOMPLETE VEHICLES (CAB & CHASSIS)) http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/p/__/CAP--WHEEL/4000239/4262135181.html Rear axle? Anyone want to order 1 of each? Toyota made a V6 single wheel cab and chassis. This part doesn't fit a double wheel. I give up. Derek up North
Are we not driving VZN95's?
zero
Are we not driving VZN95's? VZN95s are indeed dual-wheel setups - but the Toyota parts list says that cap is a "type 3" and it's a "type 2" that is needed. I have no idea how accurate the parts list info is though. zero
Looks like the Toyota part # for that cap used in front, back, and for the spare for the dually setup was # 601-35471-03. No longer available.
Derek up North
If that's the correct number, it looks like you MIGHT still be able to get them in U-Haul white (not silver) for a mere $132 each. http://www.toyomotorparts.com/components/toyota-1993-4runner_disc-wheel-wheel-cap-41-03-11917_2.html
