Ron62
Hey guys I'm still looking for answers to why I'm having driveshaft vibration. I had a one piece shaft made , and installed a new extension housing bushing . The yoke going into the housing has some up and down play . Is that normal with the 3 speed automatic transmission ? And why did toyota use the two piece shaft in the wagons ? Any help would be appreciated..
DanAatTheCape
2 piece shafts allow for extra flex - good for certain applications. could your vibration be in a wheel? I would remove the drive shaft and flex each joint. if one of those does not flex........ it will vibrate and be hard on the bearings on differential and tran
5Toyota
don't know why they used them had a 77 corona wagen and a celica with a 2 pice driveline, had a 1978 short box truck with a one pice driveline. the longbox trucks used a 2 pice driveline . you say you had a new shaft made might be a balance problem in the shaft.
