zero
My 11 year old kid had never been to the Sleeping Bear national park in Michigan. So today we went since I had to go to Traverse City anyway to get some building supplies. Long drive south for us but I guess it is still in northern Michigan. Two days ago we had frost. Today it was near 90 degrees F. Absolutely beautiful. Biggest problem was getting my 11 year old boy to the top. It IS one heck of a hike. But if I can make it without having a heart attack - seems he and my wife ought to also. Pretty neat place. Great ride pretty much all the way. On the way there - I saw this road sign that I thought was a joke at first. NOPE. It's real. Also came across a hop-farm and a hop-harvester which I've never seen before. We also saw some huge gatherings of Sand Hill Cranes just near "Gaylanta."

shibs
Very pretty scenery at sleeping bear, I have not had chance visit it yet. I was 30 mins south of you that weekend. Linda, my girls love the story behind the name, kinda sad though.
