Dolphinite no longer here
So, has anyone ever tried to match the "Colonial White" exterior paint on a Dolphin? I have a few areas to repaint and I haven't been able to find a match for the exterior color. I'd even settle for something "close". Any one have any suggestions as to where to find the paint? Back East Don
So, has anyone ever tried to match the "Colonial White" exterior paint on a Dolphin? John I ended up just driving down to the automotive paint store and had them use there color match tool. Most will even do custom rattle spray cans if you want. $40 per quart $100 for a gallon if you can spray.
Dolphinite no longer here
NAPA said that they could match the paint "pretty close" but I'd have to bring in a piece of the exterior siding so that they could scan it. Not gonna' happen... John
snail powered
They make apps for auto paint color matching for Androids https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.akzonobel.imatchcolor&hl=en for Iphones https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imatchcolor/id384354108?mt=
Dolphinite no longer here
If I had an Android or iPhone, I'd go that route. I'm still trying to figure out all the things my flip phone will do. I guess I'm going to rely on my "good eye" and the paint selection at Walmart... John
whyverne14
Yeah, I work for an auto parts store. We have a camera that takes a picture, a computer that figures out a formula, and we can put it in rattle cans. I haven't done it yet because I'm still working on "important" stuff.
