jjrbus
It is just too hot and humid out to do anything so I will do some websurfing today. There was a coating of grey stuff in my overflow tank floating on top of the coolant. It is a 93 so 22 years old could be most anything. I have a hunch but am looking for knowledgeable opinions. Bob C
Did someone put stop leak in the system?
jjrbus
At first I thought it was mold, when I dumped the tank out it was kind of rubbery. My only guess is stop leak?? Jim
shibs
yuck, can you back flush the system?
jjrbus
Other than this stuff in the reservoir the coolant looks clean enough to reuse. I am not going to and am replacing radiator so will flush out the block as best I can. I am temped to cut the bottom off old radiator and see what it looks like in there.
