I have the 21 footer. I think you would need to ask your welder what he can do with these. If you can get measurements he can compare it to your frame. MontanaChinook Posted April 30, 2015 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Is your welder a frame/hitch guy/gal, or just a general welder? Best bet when working with someone like that is to bring the camper to them so they can measure, then look at hitches together. I'm betting you could make almost anything work, but you'd want their approval before ordering something. Personally I think the best bet with these old vehicles is to fabricate something completely, then just weld the hitch attachment to it. linda s Posted April 30, 2015 Share Posted April 30, 2015 So I just got under my 86. It is an 18 foot Sunrader and the gray tank is in the back there so yours might be different. My frame rails are 37 3/8th inches apart. There is a crossbeam welded to the frame rail extensions all the way in the back to prevent twist and stabilize.
