Public beaches in Puget Sound

Recommended Posts

Check around the state, city and county owned public boat launches. If the signs don't say no overnight parking and no permit is required for parking you can sneak in where the cars and trailers park. A lot of the fishermen are out in the wee hours of the morning catching squid and pulling crab pots. Parking can get really crowded on open season days but is not so bad at other times. Some of the boat launches have porta potties too. A few of them also have running water and fish cleaning stations. It varies considerably by town and county as to what is at the facility. I do boon dock at one of the boat launches in the summer time but try to be considerate by not staying there when the crab season is open.

But there seems to be a forum for squid fishing in WA state. They will know way more about the places to go and places to camp.
