ahks
I have a 18.5' 84 Sunrader. There's a ladder at the back to go to the roof. Does anyone know how much weight the roof can support? Can it support up to 4 people on it? The manuals didn't mention anything about this. Is it designed not to be walked or sit on? When I walk on it, it seems to sag a bit. I don't want to damage the roof. Looking forward to your comments.
bajadulce
Can it support up to 4 people on it? Only one way to find out! The sunrader roofs are a composite cell construction. The strength comes from the integrity of the laminates that hold the composites together as there isn't much "framing" involved. Also the roof doesn't have much of a "A-frame" design meaning it is extemely weak towards the center. I'd stay off the roof as much as you can.. and parties would seem not to good of an idea. Gulfstream Greg
Our Sunrader roof is 3/4 inch plywood with fiberglass laminated on top and a skin on the inside. Not sure what the skin is. Its actually very strong but I would not put 4 people on top. The brochure shows a different construction than ours. http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/uploads/...1_48_201768.pdf
