Removing Propane Heater

Hi, I have a 1978 Toyota Chinook and I want to remove the propane heater. But when I disconnect the wiring harness from the heater all the lights shut off in the camper. I also noticed when I disconnect the copper propane line the lights turn off as well. Is the heater used as the ground for the interior lights? Now the lights only turn off when its on 110v. they still work when its on battery. If any one has had this problem please help?

I would guess that you shorted out a wire when you were removing things. Even it it just touched something you could have pop a fuse. Check all your fuses
