futar
My five foot Norcold operates great on 110v. However, sometimes when I switch to gas after the fridge is off for a few hours, the igniter light is on before the gas is lit. When this happens, the gas won't work. If I try and switch to gas immediately after switching from electric, it works fine. If I leave the igniter switch on after a few hours it finally goes out and I can use the gas. Any ideas what is wrong?
Maineah
Sounds like the board. Dinosaur boards, they may even have a check list for your unit.
Alvin
I've seen problems with thermocouples. I would find the thermocouple, loosen the wires, make sure that you have clean connections and that no corrosion exists (brush the connections a bit) and re-tighten everything back into place. If this doesn't do it, you may have a bad board. It also may be possible that the thermocouple location needs to be adjusted.
