I have a 85 sunrader w a 4 banger 22re. She started up wonderfully at lower altitudes first crank.

Now, after driving her 1000 miles and up to 7,000 feet she takes three cranks and lot of gas pumping to crank over.

I put in gas and fuel injector cleaner, then tried higher octane... yet, nothing helps.

Fuel issue? Fuel filter?

Where to start looking?

Thanks!

Jamie

ON a 22RE "pumping" the throttle does nothing, its a fuel injected engine.

There are 2 basic parts in the cold start system. There is a 5th injector on the manifold that is the EFI equivalent of the choke. The second part is the cold start temperature sensor, it tells the injector if its cold enough for it to be needed and how long to spray fuel.
