vtchris
I have a 1991 Toyota. Anyway whenever I am not hooked into water I have used my on board tank by switching on the water pump for about 30 seconds. That would "pressurize" the system (I don't have a pressure tank hence the quotation marks) and I could use the water for minor functions for a couple days before hitting the switch again. Now when I switch it there is no pumping noise, except when I also turn the faucet on and then the pump activates and I get water. Can I just use it this way or do I need to get something fixed? Maineah
It sounds to me like you probably pushed all the air out of the system with use. If there is air trapped in the plumbing it acts the same way a pressure tank would and if you have a nice tight system the trapped air would supply the pressure for awhile.
