frank1
Hi To all, I am looking to buy a Toyoda motor home and was thinking about the coach structure. Are the walls made with metal studs or wood. A fella on eBay says his has aluminum frame work and it is a gulf stream. I had a bad experience with my travel trailer and replaced the floor and end walls. The whole thing was wood and Styrofoam. Will a 4 cylinder run 70 mph on the interstate?
John H
Some are stick built with wood structural members, some have an aluminum frame and the fiberglass models have walls made of fiberglass. The fiberglass models have a no seam roof which reduces the possibility of roof leaks, others have a one piece roof which also reduces leaks. Joints are the most likely source of leaks. Also leaks can occur around cut outs for vents, AC and windows. John H SW Ohio '86 21' Sunrader, 22RE, 43D
Gulfstream Greg
The Gulfstream does have aluminum framing. I say if you can find a V6 go for that.

motoyhomme
My 1983 Sunrader, 22R 4 cyl, 4 speed manual, 21 footer will run all day long on the interstate at 70 mph easily. No mods to the engine either. Allen
