linda s Posted July 8, 2023 Share Posted July 8, 2023 First you need to see if the finish on the walls can be polished up. Back to my old favorite Bar Keepers friend. Shake onto a damp microfiber cloth and see if you can bring some of the shine back. Stay away from the decals for now. If that works then you can address the decals. They can be removed with an eraser wheel like this Amazon.com: Wonder Wheel 4" Decal Remover Eraser Wheel Toolkit, Remove Car Decals, Vinyl & Stickers in Minutes, Adhesive Remover Rubber Wheel, Emblem Removal Tool, Adhesive Eraser, Drill Adapter Supplied : Tools & Home Improvement and you can replace the stripes with new modern decals but thats a huge job. One of the best solutions I've seen for faded peeling decals a member found a painter who sanded the lifted portions smooth and repainted matching the old decals.
