extech Posted June 30, 2023 Share Posted June 30, 2023 i had to replace the cooling unit on my dometic fridge. while in there i added a 12v heater element and wired it to a relay that connects it to the truck battery when the truck is running if i have a switch on. also someone on here shared how they added cooling fans. i did the same, and wired them to a thermal switch so they only run when it's really hot. it was 100 degrees here, 120 in the coach(forgot to open windows), but the temp in the freezer was 22, 40 in the fridge part. this is using propane. so i run it on shore power, switch to 12v when driving, and go to propane when parked.
