mustrmrk
My windshield washer reservoir has been leaking, so I took it out and tested it. The leak is from the rubber grommet that seals between the pump intake and the tank. Not a biggie as I found plenty of them relatively inexpensive online. But this got me to thinking - if I was on the road how would I deal with this? A thin coating if RTV sealant? Vaseline to swell the rubber a bit? Seems like there's some cheap temporary fix I learned many years ago when I was mechanicin', but I can't seem to remember it now. Any pointers? mustrmrk
I remembered. Armor All or silicone spray. Clean, soak, reinstall and see what happens.
thewanderlustking
If you found the gaskets cheaply/easily online, just buy two. But please let us know if the Armor All trick does the job too.
