Scott iv Posted March 12, 2021 Share Posted March 12, 2021 I installed a cheap China unit on my camper. A few things I learned: 1. common sense, you get what you pay for. Yes my cheap unit works but picture quality isn't the best and small screen for the unit. 2. not sure how all units are but mine afforded 2 options: either install so the screen only provides an image when the machine is in reverse, or screen on all of the time. I chose only when in reverse and regret the choice I made. Would rather be able to toggle it on and off when I want. 3. Install location. My unit came with a bracket that goes with the license plate. On my camper the license plate is off to the side of the camper thus so is the camera. Now that it's installed I realize the camera would work better if it were centrally located.
