WME
The 2 black wires are a + parallel feed. Tap one of those and the white wire for - and your good to go. DO NOT TAP THE BLACK WIRE COMING OUT OF THE SWITCH.
Sherri B
Okay thanks, I may be making this more difficult than it is. When you say tap in, can I just pigtail a third wire in
markwilliam1
Hey Sherri, yes you'd be very disappointed installing your MaxFan in the BR. I suggest putting it as close to your upper bunk as possible. It moves a lot of air and can cool off both the upper bunk and coach area. Use the vent there. As previously stated I tapped into my lights above the couch and ran the wires in the cabinets as close to where you vent is. Then using a Dremmel tool I carved out a channel for the wires and covered it with an oak strip. Looks factory now. On my rig the black wire is positive and white ground. No need to turn on you lights to have the fan work. Yes just pig tail a connection for the black wire and pig tail a connection for the white wire and hook up to the fan wires. Good Luck!
