  1. Those construction generators are cheap and some are marketed for RV use. It's shameful that the manufacturers do that, especially considering that they are no where near acceptable for the max decibel levels at nearly every Federal, State, or local park/campground.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply. I hope to make a trip up there after I finish my rehab on the camper.
  3. Sorry for raising this thread from the dead. I have been trying to figure out if I can drive my 92 Dolphin up to Lake Edison. I love, love, love it up there and need to take my son (who is 10) to the places my Dad took me. I've driven the road in a pickup, and 2 different SUVS, and it seems doable provided you drive slowly. Thoughts??
  4. First world problems, eh?
  5. My whole rebuild is centering on the ability to use mine!!
  6. I picked up one of these for my 30' travel trailer. It's worked flawlessly. It's going to be way more than I need for the ToyHome. http://www.boliygenerator.com/
  7. That's a fantastic job. I have camper envy. 6 months into mine and I've just finished repairs to make sure the systems are safe and reliable. Right now, I love/hate my ToyHome.
  8. I'm in the same boat. 1992 Dolphin here which I purchased in December. It came with almost nothing for the appliances, equipment, etc. I did find a reprinted owner's manual for the chassis online on eBay. It's just the basic stuff for the truck. It was $40, and probably something I really didn't need, but a car without an owner's manual is strange to me. I found the manual here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Toyota-Truck-Owners-Manual-User-Guide-Reference-Operator-Book-Fuses-Fluids-/231750744926?hash=item35f56bbb5e Do be sure to check the year of the chassis vs. the model year of the camper. Mine is a "1992" camper, but on a 1991 chassis. As for appliances and other gadgets, you're best off going online and searching each component out separately to find what you're looking for. Good luck!
  9. I was able to find the square lens on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004R35HEA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00 I have not been able to find the complete assembly anywhere. The wiring in mine has been exposed to the elements for too long, so I'll be rebuilding the light socket, switch, and wire. For now, it looks nice - it just doesn't work.
  10. Did you put a "T" in before the cooler for the gauge? Everything I've seen about trans temp is that the sensor should go in a transmission check port, but my '91 v6 doesn't seem to have one. I've seen people suggest the pan, but that would require drilling a hole in the pan, would it not? Thanks.
  11. Me too. I was able to clean my phone with my tears of joy,
  12. Hi Everyone! Long time lurker here, signed up in August, and just purchased my new-to-me 1992 Dolphin. We found the unit for sale up in Santa Cruz and flew up there on my freebie Southwest Airlines points. We ended up liking the rig and spent the next 2 days slowly cruising down Highway 1 back to Oceanside, CA. The Toyota run flawlessly. When I got it to my mechanic, he was impressed with how well the vehicle had been maintained by the prior owner. I am stoked on this camper and ready to start personalizing it! Thanks to all of you. You have no idea how much your posts helped!! Eric
  13. Did you ever figure that one out? Curious too.
