  1. Karin & Zack.....thanks for all that you BOTH have done.. I think I have a grip on it now so I am going to give it a break for a while. I watched tutorials on You Tube but they were all trying to hook me up to a hosting site..Photobucket, Shutterfly, Flicker....even SPACEBOOK.. , Last week when we were discussing trans oel leak's.... I wanted to take a photo of the bushing puller & installer load it into my compuker & send it. But didn't bother as I was not confident that it would show...I was not aware of the "full editor"............see how easy it is to miss something when you are just pushing buttons..........My old XP would let me back out of a lot of things if I made a mistake....this machine, not so forgiving....or I'm just lacking the basics......?????????......I'm sure it will, if I knew how ..so I'll just keep pushing buttons & hoping I don't run outta luck .. ONWARD, Donnie.
  2. Derek, I appreciate your humor..Please excuse my terminology as I refer to ALL these mobile phones as cell phones...Smart phones included. My old Samsung Convoy is good enough for me/. I have NO desire to lug around a phone that I need a special holster for...For me & my activity it would last less than a day....This little phone fits in my pocket, makes & receives calls, etc... is VERY durable, has been lost in the leaves for a week & found still charged & working fine...dropped a few times etc. need I go on? I am happy with it.. My wife can do all that is needed with her phone/ such as set the alarm, check the temp when we are out..activate the heat/cooling....turn off or on the lights, bla, bla..... OH YEA....she has to have a special pouch for it & carry it in a purse, pocketbook, or belly band You choose the term. .ONE exception, many years ago my 1st phone was not called a CELL phone, but we all called them bag phones, as they were exactly that..lugged around in a shoulder bag & mostly kept in a service vehicle or my car....I think I still have it around here somewhere in the parts room. Anyway, I hope that is defined to your taste............. ..........donnie
  3. If you are interested, I am on the trailing end of technology....I am using my old shop computer, which I bought just before closing the shop.. running windows 7..............my original camera was a gift from my step son & defaults to 2002.....I recently updated my camera to a Canon power shot 16mp...........& my cell phone is at least 6 years old......My wife has much newer equipment....but refuses to help me....... "You had years when you could have taken the time to learn, but you were always too busy ....Not now, maybe later" Well this is later big boy.....figure it out..........????
  4. I'll give it another go tonite...thanks for being patient & for all your help, All ideas are welcome...I seem to be the only one with this problem If you are going to allow me to practice on this post..I will keep trying 'till I get it Let me know when you have had enough............donnie
  5. Thanks Derek, I think that I am getting there...but not sure yet.. It has been a long day, I'm going to catch the weather & hit the sack.. I may try to repeat my last procedure tomorrow & see if I can nail this thing,,,I feel really stupid & annoyed at myself for not paying attention when I had a chance to learn.......karin has been helping me.........donnie
  6. OK team.........when I select a photo from my computer what do I do with it to get it into the reply box ?? I managed to get a couple up, but there seems to be no pattern that I can discern.....donnie OK, there is nothing showing.....thinking that there is nothing there, but when I PREVIEW it, there is a photo showing....going to submit & see what comes up Then I must preview EVERYTHING...to see if the photo gets attached ??? YES?? Can hardly wait until I scan a photo & try to post it
  7. Still not correct %$#&%$&%&&$##$ :-(........... try again
  8. Yes, I did manage to get a photo up, after a lot of guess work But now I don't know what I did??????? Something worked, but not sure what.......... Yes Karin, the old Airstream is cool.......it is a 1958...we use it as a guest house & store some things in it....A lot of chances to sell it, but we kinda like ............................ donnie
  9. I clicked the remember me box the other night when I was trying to attach photos....ever since that evening whenever I go to this site,, I AM ALWAYS signed in....THE BOX IS GONE.....there is no option to "forger me" & yes I sign out EVERY time that I leave, but to no avail......donnie I am going to sign out NOW...it is 9:05...here in PA. the remember box is NOT there for me to uncheck ??????????
  10. Every time I visit the site..............I am signed in....not something that I care for.............donnie
  11. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that I am linking you back to my computer? As long as I had the photo open, you could view it? I once sent a photo of a Lantern to a friend & he got a HELL of a lot more than I thought he should have gotten. like 1/4 of my computer :-( At least he called me told me. that was 2 years ago & I don't know any more now than I did then Am I repeating that procedure again HERE on this forum.....My wife get pissed, when I ask her for help. She came in & typed 1 question for me. Otherwise I am on my own....When I had my shop, there was someone else that took care of the computer...I never paid much attention to it.. Now I feel like a 10th grader who never paid attention in class...I don't understand computer language, type with 1 finger...& make a lot of fumbles. I don't use a hosting site, I don't belong to SPACEBOOK. & I have no one to help me...So I may as well pack it in..very annoyed & embarrassed donnie
  12. Here I go with trying to send another view..donnie This should be a view of the passenger side from the right front.. I beg all viewers to forgive me while I try to learn this procedure. I can be a LOT more helpful to this forum after I learn this process......thanks, donnie
  13. What was showing on your screen? Did you get 2 thumb nails of the same view? I cannot see what was sent..Took me 2 hours last night to get a photo up on the Coleman Collector's site....I just started pushing buttons...
  14. Linda, sorry I did not answer your question, busy trying to get this photo thing in my head The fuel mileage we got on this truck was about 11 or 12...we only had it for about 2 years....donnie
  15. Hi: Thanks for the response. Sorry that you got two pictures but we are just trying to figure out how that happened. Our screen didn't show a picture but I guess that is good if they came through anyway. Do you know if that is a normal way for the pictures to load up. We are not very picture literate and each forum seems to have a different procedure. Donnie has been trying to send pictures of the various motorhomes that we have owned but has been unable to do so. He is an excellent technician on transmissions but doesn't know crap about computers. He also can't type. Signed his wife
  16. I GIVE UP............10 photos of my old 1981..........can't get photos on this site....every one seems to have a different method..feeling stupid.., I'm out .donnie
  17. We had one of these...350 / 400 thm drive train.............1981.........can't upload photos #@$$%#$#$%$ ! ! ! donnie
  18. Just wondering, I don't recall ever seeing air shocks mentioned anywhere on this forum since I've been here...That doesn't mean they haven't been discussed, it means that I don't have a recall. Anyway, I'm thinking Chinook......my '78 Gazelle sits up proud in the rear, but my '75 sits low on the tail....I am going to stick a pair on it, lots of room & not that much lift needed.............donnie
  19. I never see air shocks mentioned any more.....Are they too "old school?"..... they were pretty popular in the '80's ...just wondering..........donnie
  20. BigHoagie, if you want to read about this problem...since you said "it left me stranded" I'm not sure if you lost enough oil that the truck wouldn't move, or it wouldn't shift or exactly what happened.....BUT there is a LOT of information contained in the 1st thread at the top of this page.. A lot more than you asked for, but it is good reading that will help you understand your trans......donnie try www.car-parts.com for used parts
  21. I can't recall if someone asked about the gov. bore repair sleeve.. I bought the tool from Trans-tool a LONG time ago & they also supplied the sleeves. They were bought out by Hayden the cooler people & became Hayden-Trans-tool....who then became, I think ATEC Trans -Tool.. Last I bought anything from them was years ago, a few sleeves for the Ford AOD...which came out in 1980.. This was a big $$$ maker for us as these gov. rings wore the cases on 75% of the "drive it until it won't shift crowd". The repair in my shop was probably 20 Fords to 1 A40 series trans....I sold the tools & sleeves when I retired, I still have the bushing pullers & installers for most sizes & a complete seal installer set... Also anyone looking for bushings for ANYTHING....Omega bushing in Sacramento...will have what you need or CUSTOM MAKE ONE for you. He saved my bacon many times on weird or rare case's....mostly FWD or transfer boxes with spun bushings or other severe case wear. ...........................donnie
