  1. Without benefit of seeing the FSM section in question I'm only 'guessing' (which I don't like doing). But it sounds as though doing this adjustment won't accomplish anything IF you've disconnected the linkage and secured it in the fully 'Up' position. It sounds like the additional mounting holes are there in case the rod/linkage won't adjust enough while still connected.
  2. Scarcer than the Chinook, made up until '89 (very scarce with the V6). Also (even rarer) were built on other platforms. http://buffalo.craig...3188536267.html I'd take a Bandit over a Chinook. Just looks a bit more modern.
  3. Well, there was at least one GMC converted to 454! http://www.gmccoop.com/land_speed_record.htm
  4. Only ever from the Factory with the 455 & 403. Never the 454 (Chevy). Some more recently have upgraded to the Cadillac 500. Lots of support for them. They also sold some called a 'Transmode' (pretty much an empty shell) that were finished inside by others. I think Avion was probably the best known.
  5. Actually, the Nissan 720 was available with a Factory, full floating rear axle. With duallies. '84-'86, I believe. But I'm no Nissan expert. AFAIK, nobody actually died from a Toyota axle either. Documentation refers to accidents and says no fatalities.
  6. Some pretty big dually motorhomes were built on Nissans, apparently with no need for an axle recall. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/rvd/3117982520.html They also built 18' Sunraders on the Nissan. Both 4 cylinder and V6s.
  7. Switch to dial-up. I hardly notice a difference!
  8. The rough looking one is on Kijiji near me. http://montreal.kiji...QAdIdZ394599953
  9. A pretty rare 'home, so I thought I'd post some pictures in case someone's looking in future. Another set of pictures of a much nicer example (and different layout) are here: http://www.motorhomesforsale.co.nz/92_clipper.htm It seems they have aluminum framing.
  10. Here's a rough one that's been on CL for months. Wonder why? http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/rvs/3185594919.html
  11. Sunrader seems to have a reputation for having built many unique '1 offs'.
  12. By the definitions I'm aware of, the Vixen is a very small Class A. The LeSharo/Phasar/Centauri is a Class C, built on the Renault Trafic C&C.
  13. This is how Odyssey did it (Laguna & Newport). Might give you some ideas.
  14. Here's my (mild custom) favorite: http://www.vixenrv.c...d142/td142.html
  15. 21 ft. Not sure which version you were looking in, but AFAIK the 'Limo' version was only available as a 'hi-top'. A few currently for sale. One that'll even go fast (at the expense of fuel economy). http://spokane.craigslist.org/rvs/3113215189.html http://sfbay.craigsl...3169441184.html http://sfbay.craigsl...3177729433.html

  19. I think it might be a good idea to explain your procedure before you have readers pouring tap water in their crankcase or gas tank!
