  1. Hi, Need a new gasket (seal) between the Toyota cab and the Sunrader house. The old one with a "T" style fitting that pushes into the gap between the cab and the house body. This is a 1991 Sunrader 21ft. Anyone know where to get a replacement or something that would work? Thanks in advance, Bob
  2. Thank's for your input. I will keep using it as I need, for holding the gears higher before they shift and keep it off as much as possible for better gas mileage. Bob
  3. I have a 91 Dolphin with the V6 and the ECT button on the dash. Is there a reason I shouldn't leave it in on all the time? Or is it bad for gas mileage or hard on the transmission? Thanks, Bob
  4. I'm 64. I had a Apache pop-up trailer for 20 years and bought our 91 Dolphin 3 years ago and never looked back. Completed a 8,000 mile trip to Alaska and Oregon this past August & September and could't be happier with our little home. Bob
  5. I carry my 21ft. kayak on a rack (two bars) on the roof of my 91 Dolphin. I've been transporting kayaks and canoes this way since I've owned my m.h. and leaning them against the side of the m.h. then climbing up to load on the rack. I use the reverse order to unload. A friend of mine carried his 12' kayak vertically on the rear bumper of his Vixen motor home. He had someone weld him a rack to fit his receiver hitch. Here's a commercially vertical rack you could check out ...... http://www.rvkayakrack.com Good Luck, Bob
  6. We were going through Lovell, Wyoming last summer and found a small city park there just off the main drag. No advertising just happened to ask where we could stay at a local grocery store. It had a rv dump, picnick tables and showers for short stays only. For free! If passing through check it out. Bob
  7. Thanks Waiter & Bob C. for the quick reply. I added a little brake fluid but will have to wait for better weather to take it on the highway to confirm it's the problem. Bob
  8. Hi, I've got a problem with my cruise control quitting. I have a 1991 Dolpin V-6 and the cruise control works fine for awhile then stops when the brake light comes on. I continue driving with no cruise and eventually the brake light will go off and the cruise will work again. Also when the light is on and cruise not working I can stop and turn the engine off and when started back up the brake light will be off and the cruise will work again, for a unown amount of time. Has anyone any idea's how to remedy this? Thanks in advance! Bob
  9. Hi All, I was looking for some suggestions for what is causing my 1991 Toyota V6 3.0 to be showing codes 25 & 26 which I believe are too lean and too rich. When I clear these codes it always takes longer for the 26 code(too rich) to come up probably next morning when started cold. The following are things I have checked for: Vacuum leaks MAF is very clean Fuel filter has about 18,000 mile on it. Just had complete tune up. Plugs, rotor, Cap, plug wires and fresh air filter Mechanic checked both oxigen sensor's and seemed to be doing thier job As far as how it runs, it runs very good and strong, only exception is a slightly rough idle but smooths out quickly when giving it the gas. I'm about to give up on it and just put black electrical tape over the check engine light and forgetting about it I'm presntly not at home and will not have a chance to take it to my regular mechanic until April. Maybe there is something simple i'm missing? Thanks in advance, Bob I
  10. Hi, Just wanted to thank you fo the idea. Last month i lucked out and found some seats for a decent price. They are exactly like the ones you installed although only my drivers seat has 7 way adjusment. What a easy and great up grade, much more comfortable on long trips! Bob
  11. My remedy. I have a locking gas cap and now leave the key, with my ignition key attached, in the cap and set it on top of the pump while I fuel up. Can't start vehicle and leave with out replacing gas cap.

    Breaker Box

Thank's for your repleys. The AC unit dose not make any noise. The fan worked last December when he purchased it so we wanted to try checking the breakers. This AC is also has a heater and being we are still freezing our behinds off up here in Montana it would be nice to get it working. My friend and his wife took off for Yellowstone and I'd give them a call if I could find anything out. We will try hooking up the AC directly if we don't have any sucess with the breaker switch, when we find out where it is located. Bob

    Breaker Box

This is a 1991 Sunraider V6 and the airconditioner fan has quit working. We wanted to check for a bad fuse or breaker but cannot find the breaker or fuse box for the coach quarters. The book that came with it says it's located above the fan hood for the stove but do not see anything in the cabinet above the stove. There is a junction box in the cabinet to the right of the stove and we took the cover off but only has several wire conected there. I own a 91 Dolpin and my breaker box is located under the couch in a cabinet next to the sink. This is a new motohome (Sunraider) to a friend of mine and I have been trying to help him out. Can anyone else help? Thanks in advance, Bob
  14. I have 78000 miles So far so good no major problems.
  15. Thanks for your input on this, sorry I didn't get back here sooner but I've been away. I think I'll leave things alone for now and see how things go this summer as we will be leaving for around a 3000 mile trip soon and should test out the toyota. Bob
  16. I bought my 91 Dolphin this past March with 71000 miles and like Gene j I had the fluid changed without removing the pan to clean the filter screen. I do not know when the transmission was last serviced although it seem to preform very good and looks clean with no odor. Is it worth pulling the pan to clean the screen and install new fluid?
  17. Hi, I purchased a 1991 Dolphin in March 2010 and plan on using it alot this coming summer. I've been lurking around on this site since sumer of 2009 to educated myself for the purchase of a motor home. Thanks for all the great posts and information!

  18. Dose anybody carry boats, canoe or kayaks, on the roof of there rv? Is there a safe and good way to attach a Tule or Yakima rack on the roof. I'm looking to buy a Toyota Rv but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or if the roof is strong enough. Appreciate any idea's or opinions. Thanks, Bob
