Hey, I just had six 185R14, 8 ply, load range D installed at American Car Care here in Bozeman Mt. Tires are made by Hankook. Good tread design and made a world of difference in the ride. $91.00 each, installed. I highly recommend. T.A.J.

Awesome weather finally! We've had snow, rain, and lots of wind until this week. I'm anxious!!! I need new tires for my '84 Dolphin. I've priced them all around here and get from $89.00 (Hankook), to $137.00. It had Kumhos on it when purchased. I'm told that 185R14 8ply tire is an odd ball tire and few companies make it. Does anyone run Hankooks? There's a wide range in price and dollars add up quick when purchasing six. I'm just asking for some in put and personal preferences. I'm ready to Toy around. Thanks T.A.J.

Hello. I just bought an 1850W, Powermite generator at Costco for $245.00. A Honda 2000 is 60DB and $999.00. This is 65DB and it works great. What a bargain!! T.A.J.

I once blew the system out with a screw on valve stem. DON'T DO THIS! My lost its prime and the only way I could get it to pump again, after an hour of cussing, was to fill the water tank and blow water to the pump with an air hose. (pressurized the tank) Works fine now and lesson learned.

The on board pump or the fresh water hook up will fill the heater tank unless you've got a by pass valve turned to the by pass position. T.A.J.

The gentleman I bought my '84 Dolphin from had installed seat belts on the two swivel chairs at the dining table for his grand kids to wear for a trip thru Yellowstone Park. My kids have worn them every time they've gone with me and they work well. Easy to install. Remember to always drive defensive and at a reasonable speed. It's the other drivers that I worry about! Good day. After much searching and even had my '84 Dolphin in a shop that installs air bags here in Butte Mt. for a day, they told me no air bags will work on this RV. I took it to a shop in Bozeman and had Timbrens installed. Awesome stability and ride. I had them mounted a quarter inch from the body. No maintenance and last for ever. $417.00 installed. www.timbrens.com Check them out. I highly recomend. T.A.J.

My Dolphin is still in winter storage so pics etc. will have to wait. Sorry. The RV is '21 though I've never measured from axle to bumper. I also run with the 22R 4 cylinder. I'll be of more help in a couple of weeks. We continue to get snow here in Mt. Come on summer!!!!! T.A.J.

Haul it Crusty. If you have the six lug dually rear end, haul it! I've got the extended rear bumper and also a cargo hauler for my receiver hitch. I haul a Honda XR500L on the bumper and three bicycles on the hitch. Previous owners towed a VW Bug and hauled a Honda 90. This '84 Dolphin has absolutely know structural damage. The key is to drive mellow. Easy on all bumps always. TLC T.A.J.

Hello boredman. I bought an '84 Dolphin after checking for leaks etc. It checked out fine until I actually went camping in it. No leaks until I fired up the water heater. I noticed water running out the heater door. I by-passed the tank and drained it. When I got home I pressurized the system with the garden hose including the tank. No leak. I fired up the heater and in minutes water was just running out. I removed the heater and no visable cracks or holes. I found the flame tube was eroded from the inside and only leaked when expanded due to heating. I replaced the tank and all is well. Good luck. T.A J.

What kind of mpg do these get and speed up a mountain

I bought the Dolphin as is with the upgrades. I can't explain it's previous performance. It's still in winter storage so I can't yet get carb. #'s. The older couple that i bought it from had a very mechanical son, I was told. He also put an after market cruise control in it that works very well on the flats. Of course it's useless on hills or any time shifting is needed. I believe the son was a good mechanic and made wise decisions while upgrading for his folks. They also towed an older VW Bug and hauled a Honda 90 on the back rack. I do know this little rig runs great and is a blast. I have no regrets! I'll try to have #'s next week. T.A.J. -

Hey Mary, There's a 1979, 19' Dolphin on craigslist. It's in Helena and has only 38,000 miles. It looks good and he's only asking $3500. Again, 38,000 miles. WOW Go on craigslist.com, click on Montana, then click RV's. Type toyota in the search box and and there it is. Good luck! T.A.J.
