  1. I don't know what imcdb means or I would answer you. There is a toyota camper group on yahoo that has brochures that show how they looked originally and many of the ones I see for sale look amazing. Other than the Sunrader on the My Name is Earl show. I've only seen them rarely. LS
  2. If your talking about the small U shaped trim that goes along the cabinet sides and the bottom of the upper cabinets that would not be available in any colors the match at all. Trimlok, look online, has some that is close but only in black and white. You might be able to paint it brown with the fusion paint for plastic. Edges of counter tops can be covered with something like this http://www.idealtruevalue.com/servlet/the-43887/Detail I would apply with contact cement for extra strength and seal with varathane diamond clear. Possible you could trim the overhang on the cabinets and if this material is scoreable you could apply this to the cabinet edges too Don't know LS
  3. Fresh water tank is 21 gallons, grey is 12 and black is 8. When you overflow the black tank the nasty comes right up on your feet. If it's draining onto the street instead of onto your feet you need to drop the tank and get it fixed pronto. It's is broken. Needless to say long showers are not a good idea in a shorty Sunrader. Wet, water off, soap, rinse. No more LS
  4. Never heard of the bolt actually breaking but many stories about the noise from missing cap. Here's the part. http://www.bestautojobs.com/shop/steeringbesttoyota/itemn6929_72898lvh.html LS
  5. I wasn't sure what my tank held so I got under there and measured it. Probably not exact but close enough to tell me it was around 17. Running until dry is just too dangerous. 20 something years old, you have no idea how much crud is in there that your going to suck into your fuel pump. Just measure, much safer LS
  6. I know of at least one person who went to a window place and they were able to make windows for him. If your far from California think it's worth a shot to try to find someone who can fabricate plexiglass windows. Linda S
  7. They'll work fine but a member of the toyota campers site bought tires fromSears and they wouldn't install them because it was a motorhome. At $115 they are also more expensive than the 185's. Times 6 that adds up Linda S
  8. it should power it fine but you need to remove the Honda fom the storage compartment before use. LS
  9. Just look at the date code and make sure they aren't too old.Find that info here http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11 Then look at the weight rating. Michelin used to make a tire for these vehicles but hasn't in quite a few years. Don't remember how long but weight rating for a C or D tire should be around 1800lbs. It should say 8 ply somewhere on the tire too LS
  10. Those 15 inch fake duallies are going to be almost impossible to find. . The general opinion is your probably safer with single 16 inch rear wheels anyway. Single cause you can buy a wheel anywhere and 16 inch so you can buy e load tires that will carry the weight of your coach with no problem. The adapter to Toyota motorhome tires is going to give you 14 in tires in back and 15 in the front. Not good for 4x4ing.. Only other option is to get custom duallies made. LS
  11. There is only one size for Toyota motorhomes with 6 lugs. That is 6 x 7 1/4. There were some Nissan motorhomes made though and their size is 6 x 6 1/2. . Won't fit a Toyota LS
  12. Odyssey's are some of the heaviest Toyota motohomes made. The Guardsman tire you have on your rig are not strong enough in the first place and if even one of them is cracking I'm guessing they're kinda old. You seriously need to check the date code and weight rating on all of your tires. You can put different size tires on but they should match on the same axle so you have to buy at least 2. LS
  13. Shoreline is the Bay Area. Please let me know who did the work in case I need something done. Yhanks Linda S
  14. Never seen a Sunrader leak there before but a member on the toyota camper site replaced the molding between the cab and the coach with garage door seal. Looks really good. You could strip the old stuff off seal it with a long lasting sealer and put the new stuff on. He used a hot glue gun but construction glue might work too You might have to belong to the toyota-camper group at Yahoo to view this http://groups.yahoo.com/group/toyota-campers/photos/album/46496395/pic/799738718/view?picmode=&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&count=20&dir=asc Linda S
  15. Small travel cribs are available. Only can be used while parked though. Used ones are cheap and it will break down for storage when you driving. if you have a dinette this should slide into the area where the table goes If you want to drive she will have to sleep in the car seat for safety http://sacramento.craigslist.org/bab/2395131025.html Linda S
  16. This method works very well. You make a slurry of abs shavings and abs glue. I used a rasp fitting on my drill and ground up a 1 dollar abs fitting I bought at the hardware store.Mix in a disposable foil pan, dollar store. Paint onto area where it's cracked. Press into it very open weave figerglass mat. Paint over again until completely covered. You have to work very quickly so have everything cut to fit and ready. Fiberglass doesn't stick to abs but the open weave supports the abs gunk and your basically making brand new abs over the crack. Will last as long as your tank. LS
  17. look through these trims here http://www.all-rite.com/trim-moldings-c-57.html?osCsid=6af7702d7c2b700a8fce5c737dda3615 You could aslo try eterna bond tape. Supposed to last really long Linda S
  18. I didn't know the Nova Stars had aluminum under the fiberglass. I assumed they were just like my Sunrader. Do you know how thick your fiberglass is? Linda S
  19. Nova Stars and Sunraders are made from fiberglass molds like a boat. There is no actual framing as the fiberglass provides the support . Very strong and durable. Some rvs do have aluminum framing. Gregs Conquest is made that way. Also later model Horizons have aluminum framing. I believe from about 86 and newer. I pretty sure some Mini Crusiers do too Linda S
  20. My Sunrader is insured with Mercury Ins full coverage for 100 dollars a year. Low mileage use on RV's means less money. Insure it with your regular insurance company if they will cover Rv's for multiple vehicle discounts Kohler hasn't made Rv gnerators for a long time. They no longer support them with parts or service. Find a small engine repair shop near you that will work on generators like a lawn mower shop or tool repair shop. Since you probably don't know what the problem is, it maybe fixable without all new parts. Once you do get it fixed you probably still won't use it. Sounds like your sitting on an outboard motor. I also have a Kohler 2.5 and mine works fine but I never use it cause it's so loud. Linda S
  21. According to Wikipedia Toyota didn't offer an automatic in their trucks until 1978 so this one must be a later install Linda S
  22. Yup wood strips glued to the fiberglass and paneling stapled to that. Air stapler shoots longer narrow staples that don't show very much. I looked at baja guys too and I don't see a stripped down inside. Maybe I missed it Linda S
  23. Try posting your request for help here http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/toyota-campers/ 5000 members and quite a few in the Sacramento area Linda S
  24. Dude, 500 bucks thats crazy. Rock Auto is the cheapest online site with the most parts. Depending on where you live electrical stuff and anything you might not be sure of, the best place is locally at a parts store that mechanics shop at. If your a serious mechanic you might not need their advice but having a local expert help me troubleshoot saves me time and money on parts I didn't really need. What a super deal. Linda S
