  1. Nice job, glad your liking Maine
  2. My engine light came on the other day, I'm going to see what code come up this weekend. I'm thinking the sensor maybe an option
  3. It came with the 3.0V6, they can go over 1k without much issue.
  4. Your right on, screw the rail just below the roof line and you'll hit solid wood.
  5. I want to replace the carpet in the cab of the motorhome, I can get a vinyl flooring that fits a regular cab but I’m not certain it will be able to come up to fit the flooring of the coach. Has anyone replaced the cab flooring like this? Thanks
  6. This started life out as a 2wd and someone along the way converted it into a 4x4 with 8 lug axles, what does the rear end look like?
  7. I would make some sort of tin shield, kinda thin, just to deflect road debris.
  8. You my friend have a mountain of a task in front of you, but a wicked cool starting point! For that project first I'd see what it takes to take the camper off to replace the flooring, if you don't have to then get to the flooring and work your way up, making sure the thing is water tight first. In my mind the engine, running gear ie truck part of the camper is the easy part. You will end up with an amazing rig, best of luck
  9. Left side, down bottom. I think all your going to need is a 14mm and maybe a 13mm to take the wire off. You'll need an extension, they are in there a bit.
  10. Suburban makes a 3 burner cooktop that I am thinking of getting then a convection oven or microwave to install underneath it. Anyone know if this will work? I’m thinking the heat may be an issue.. not sure if these need to be vented..
  11. So the stove we have in our 93 Dolphin is junk, mice used it for a few years and it’s beyond anything we want to mess with. We are looking for maybe a microwave/ burner combo.. What have others used when getting rid of the stove/oven?
  12. Its not bad, just need a bit of mechanical background. It takes me 6 roughly hours including coffee breaks and shooting the bull. 22RE's, have chains not belts. I have owned some with over 300k with the original chain, you should be good for eternity.
  13. Prices are getting way too high. Wait for the right one. I looked at a lot of them for a bit more than a year till we bought ours. Remember they all leak and need work. Good luck
  14. Replaced the timing belt on our 93, or so I thought dolphin today. I’ve owned 20+ 94 and older Toyota trucks but this being our first motorhome. I thought since the title shows it being a 93 I would get a timing belt, tensioner and water pump and be golden. 92, Which Is what our chassis is, is the last year of a spring tensioner, 93 having a hydraulic tensioner. Luckily after a trip to Bangor I was able to piece together the parts. Any way just a quick lesson so others don’t mix up the chassis year with the coach year. So mice made a mess on top of the crank shaft gear making the engine skip timing. Brought it in the house and soaked It in the sink before scraping all the mess off. Lesson is keep mice away!! Take care
  15. What is a good choice of caulking around windows and tail lights etc?
  16. That’s the way that I’m going. What is everyone using for small holes in the siding? I have Lap seal, anything better to use?
  17. Started repairing leaks today and the interior walls as a result of the leaks. The Luan is glued to styrofoam insulation that is glued to the backside of the fiberglass exterior. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the luan and styrofoam out in a quicker way. Attached is a pic, look at the small section under the window for explanation. Thanks all.
