citizenx
I'm looking into getting a Dolphin (or similar) and find myself drawn to the look of the early model Hilux (pre-1980) but don't necessarily want the problems that are likely to come with a 40 year old vehicle. I'm wondering if it would be possible to replace one of the later model front ends with the grille/headlamps from the first generation. Anyone have experience with this? linda s
Chassis got wider in 1983 but the 83's still have the older looking fenders with the separate side lights. Older than 83 and the width is 1.8 inches narrower. I think if you want the grill your going to need fenders or you won't have the required side lights on your vehicle. In 84 the fenders and grill look like the newer trucks. Linda S
