Camp'n4me
Well my 86 Dolphin doesn't have any keys to the storage or shore power doors. Are any of these locks/keys universal? I guess if not then I will be popping the locks and replacing them with new ones.
whyverne14
You might want to replace them anyway. Pretty crappy lock and key on the original. Should be cheap and easy.
Bob C
Most of the older RV's used the same key to open the storage doors. For that reason, I changed all of mine after having a locksmith re-key a set of locks that I bought from him. I probably have the old keys and locks in the garage if you need a key. I may have donated them to a local charity though.
jjrbus
I redid mine, 1st problem was the cylinders were different lengths. Shaft diamater can be different, mine were all the same. 2nd was arms on ends were different. Most of the arms were interchangeable with the new locks, had to cut one new arm to make it work. To compensate for shaft difference, I bought a set of longest lock I needed and made shims from 3/4 inch pvc pipe, I used grey electric pipe, that looked best. The shim goes outside between lock bezel and door. I bought 10 matching locks on Ebay for about $20, needed 8 now I have 2 spares plus 20 keys Jim
