Rmcgloth Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Just drove to christmas valley and back, and things went pretty smoothly. Whenever we would get slowed down in traffic, or idle after a long run, the engine makes a hooting, moaning noise. The pitch rises and falls, and sometimes is intermittent. The best description I can give is a hoot, almost like a dove. It goes away when under load. It doesn't really sound like a metal on metal bearing type noise. Any ideas?
