Just drove to christmas valley and back, and things went pretty smoothly. Whenever we would get slowed down in traffic, or idle after a long run, the engine makes a hooting, moaning noise. The pitch rises and falls, and sometimes is intermittent. The best description I can give is a hoot, almost like a dove. It goes away when under load. It doesn't really sound like a metal on metal bearing type noise. Any ideas? I am changing out the drive belts this week, so I can check bearing play while they are off. It is the v6 on a 1993 warrior.
