Home Away From Home

In a few days we will use our toy for what we bought it for. A family get together where there isn't quite enough accommodations for all. We will take our two elderly but large dogs with us and head north to meet family in Albuquerque. Easier (with dogs) and less expensive than a motel, we will get a spot at an rv park nearby the festivities. Some of our kids will join us in their RV.

So hoping for warm and leak free time in our small home away from home.

Happy Christmas everyone. It's cold outside, but we and our elderly rotties are warm and cozy. All is well & working. Nice trip to Albuquerque and nice time last night with family from everywhere at my sis's house. We got 17 mpg on the trip up.

Taking the dog is the best I always felt guilty not taking my Golden Roxy when tent camping..

Thanks. We will be leaving to go home today. Every trip we take, things go smoother.

Still have the pesky leak somewhere we can't find. The drip is making little icicles now. But we will find it.

The lil buddy heater is amazing. We've used a small electric heater at night, but the buddy is like having a cozy fireplace and heats up the inside in the morning and before bed wonderfully FAST!

This trip has about sealed it for me. The westfalia is cool, it's nice, but the toy is by far the way to go.
