Best way to test appliances?

I'm helping a friend sell his '88 Winnebago 21' 4cyl.

I know the interior lights work when the RV is hooked up using the power cord and adapter. I also know the upper roof AC unit works.

I'd like some advise on the best way to test the follow:

1) heater

2) stove (4 grill stove top to the left of the sink...I'm thinking propane?)

3) Refridge (I'm thinking put the power on and see if I hear it working!?)

4) Kitchen sink and shower sink (looks like shower sink and shower head may be combined?)

5) toilet

6) generator...is there one? I presume this chargers the back up battery?

Thanks...sorry...as you can tell I'm new to this and just trying to help a friend out!
