Starsushi
Hello, I am seriously considering an 1982 micro mini. However not only would it be my camping / touring vehicle, it'll be my every day shopping / go to work / running around car. Any thoughts on using it as my only mode of transportation? Thanks! MontanaChinook
I know there are people who use their Chinooks as daily drivers. I don't know what I micro mini looks like. My Chinook is the non pop-up, "full size" Chinook. It wouldn't be ideal, but it would easier to get around town and park in it than some of the full size trucks I see around here that people use as daily drivers. A lot of them can't even fit, lengthwise, into a normal parking spot. I could definitely do it in the Chinook.
fred heath
I have an 18 foot "Galavan" that I use as a daily driver. If your mh is small enough, you should be fine. My toy fits into a regular lined parking spot. That being said, you will have to tailor your driving habits to the toy. I always park away from other vehicles. (door mount mirrors can get bumped or damaged by people trying to squeeze in next to you.) Always pull through if possible to avoid backing issues. You will have to become familiar with backing up with only outside mirrors. Practice will help. Resign yourself to driving in the right hand lane. Toys are not known for their speed. As long as your cautious with your driving you should have no issues.
kidsandliz
Remember you can't go into parking garages unless you have a pop top as you will be too high.
86rader
I would recommend against this if you live where you have to deal with road salt in the winter. 80s vintage toy pickup frames snap in two at the mere sight of road salt.
