CMooreMotors
This is our latest project finished, Toyota Hilux Global Galaxy 4x4 http://www.motorhomesforsale.co.nz/88_hilux_4x4_camper.htm Goes very well with a Toyota Prado engine in there. stamar
that is nice. And do you know any cute single new zealand ladies looking for a mail order husband?
Derek up North
Very nice, as usual. A shame we can't get those over here (easily). Could you give some more details of the rear axle/rim/tire arrangement. Also, some details of the engine swap would be appreciated. What sort of MPG do you get? CMooreMotors
Are yes the diff, This time we Got a complete 60 series Landcruiser fully floating diff but they have an offset diff head so we sent it to the machine shop and they cut the diff housing to remove both ends and did the same to the factory weak diff and welded the fully floating hubs on to the standard diff, he did need to make up 2 new axles as well but much cheaper way for us this time as we were able to keep the diff head that matched, so we were able to use the alloy dual wheel adapter plate and original rear wheels. As for the engine it is from a KZJ95 toyota Prado and the gear box is from a KZN130 surf as the drive shaft going forward on the prado is on the wrong side, Not sure about economy yet. Derek up North
Thanks for the details. That pop-up front roof must give a few headaches keeping the water out, no? I also don't see any sign of aircon or furnace. None or do I need new glasses? Finally, what are the 3 orange knobs(?) below the sink? CMooreMotors
The pop top has a special design the way it sits and never leaks when it's down even when it is very windy but pick a good night for it to stay up overnight. It has A/C fittings in the cab but never fitted the unit onto the engine, may be later. The 3 knobs there are for fresh water tank switching, there are 2 fresh tanks and provision for another under one of the rear seats.
Derek up North
Location makes sense. Thanks.
bajadulce
That's really nice. *Suicide overhead pop-up is pretty slick. For fun I did some modifications to the shell's design. Looks like the rear tire shrunk a bit in the process *suicide meaning it opens up into the wind ala suicide doors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_door
