chillin Posted April 5, 2011 Share Posted April 5, 2011 I am looking to get some airbags for the rear of my sunrader. The places selling them normally only go back to 1986....I am exchanging emails with one company though and they asked what chassis it is on. The truck is a 1978 toyota pickup I'm just not sure if there is any specific model. This is also a question for my brakes that need new rotors and pads. Are these on the the 3/4 ton chassis? MAXXFabrication Posted December 16, 2011 Share Posted December 16, 2011 if its a 78 then you most likely have a factory half ton brake set up. the chassis are pretty much the same as later years, boxed frame (my 83 is the same as a 95 in construction, some mounting placement is different) you would be fine getting the air bags that fit an 86 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
