Generator Replacement 1989 Warrior

Hi all!

Hope everybody survived the summer. I've got a 1989 Warrior I'm about to strike out in. Problem is that the generator doesn't carry a load and the only nearby generator repair won't fix because they say it's more expensive than it's worth to rip it out and pull it apart. They also said there isn't any replacements for this size generator. I was hoping you guys would tell me differently since carrying in and out a portable generator seems like a pain. So... any suggestions or is the portable generator all I got?

I've never been faced with the same problem. But there are generators out there:-

I'd get your tape measure out and start measuring. After I'd tried a few other repair places.

What generator have you got installed and what size a/c?

I'm guessing that this is what you'll want:-

If it's an Onan it's owned by Cummings and a Cummings diesel shop should be able to repair it for you and it's worth fixing. The Koller's are more of a problem I'm not sure who would repair them. Either way it seems like the problem should not be too bad they don't really get that many hours on them unless some one used it as a second home in the woods.

you probably have a kohler 2.5. that is built on a techumseh TVM 6 hp engine. manuals & parts are available. setting up the governor is a bit odd but not all that hard. it has an electric fuel pump that must work.

i have the maint & part manuals if you need them. djunk121@hotmail.com
