mctravel
ok, it has sat and only been started twice in two years. drained old gas and put 5 gallons fresh in tank. starter is good. new battery. replaced bad battery clamp. saw where rodent had stuffed some insulation top of engine. turns over, won't start. either no gas or no spark. don't know which. don't know where to begin to look. has been driven very little in 2 or 3 years. last time it was a short one mile trip and engine was periodically a bit rough losing power. also headlights spontaneously go on when engine is off and drains battery Thanks! WME
If there was bad gas in the fuel tank, then there was bad gas in the fuel lines. Did you flush the lines too. There can be enough bad dirty fuel to plug the injectors. Critter nest under the hood, a critter nest in the air cleaner box is possible. Also critters LOVE plastic wire coating, any chewed wiring?? mctravel
I am cleaning and inspecting wiring and listening for fuel pump sound. will check fuel filter and air cleaner box. looks like rodents were using insulation from under hood for nesting. i just put in a new ignition which seems to work just fine. thanks
