akwcanoe
A question: Will a set of 6 bolt front hubs from an '87 2wd 1 ton (a toyhome) swap into the front of my '83 2wd Sunrader. Currently have the rear upgraded to 6 bolt and would like to get to a single spare. Have the rims. Not considering a 4x4 conversion.
WME
OK , Dealing with a foggy memory. Your 83 should have torsion bar front suspension. You should be able to pop the ball joints lose and switch spindle and all. Turn the rotors and new brake pads. Check the bearings and repack them with new seals. To be sure new rotors and loaded calipers will 0 time everything
akwcanoe
Thanks WME. Yes rhe 83 has the torsion bar front suspension. Rotors and pads redone in 2019. Had thought to wait on this conversion , and upgrade the rotors and calipers to the larger 1 ton versions. But I have the hubs waiting and its going in the shop for some other work now. I will be sure to have the bearings and seals redone. Had also hoped to do this myself but again convienice and timing won out over skill development.
