  1. Whats TSP? I was using a sponge but it was one with the soft surface on one side and the hard scrubber on the other side and I was using the hard side. I was going to use a sponge mop to apply it as seen in a youtube video. Is there any rinsing between coats? How long did you wait before applying another coat? thanks
  2. Thanks for the help everyone.Started washing it tonight but it got dark before I finished.Luckily I dont have a lot of bad stains.I had 2 streaks coming down from the rear window that I was scrubbing and scrubbing with a sponge with the bar keepers friend and it was rough going, didnt want to come off.I had some spray cleaner I bought at the dollar store called "Awesome" that I sprayed on the streaks and it took it right off,not impressed with the bar cleaners friend, powder form might work better but the Awesome spray was awesome
  3. I bought some of the bar keepers friend in the bottle.
  4. I see your siding is different then mine,do you think it will help mine?

  7. I did a search on here for Zep but came up with nothing. Who has used Zep and what was the process you did? Thanks
  8. Ok So next trip I will take everyones advice and report back, thanks
  9. Is that something shop should have noticed when doing valve adjustment?
  10. Forgot to mention air filter is new, haven't checked tires they're brand new but that doesn't mean they were filled correctly. it's getting its maiden camping voyage this weekend only I won't be the one driving it or camping in it, my daughter will be. I'm going to leave it out of OD because I don't trust her to know when to turn it off if it's getting a load on it.
  11. I've probably only put about 6 or 7 hundred miles on rig since buying it and it's gotten terrible gas mileage. I was blaming it on the misfire I had but since replacing fuel injs and fixing misfire it hasn't gotten any better. Filled it up after fixing misfire, after driving it home from shop yesterday {getting valves adjusted} it was down to almost 1/4 tank so I filled it up again. It only went 94 miles on 3/4 tank for little under 10 mpg, that sucks!! One of the main reasons for buying this rig was for gas mileage, I wasn't expecting 20 mpg but I was expecting 12-13 at the very very least and hoping for 14-15 mpg. I would say 75% of this latest tank was highway miles. It's got new plugs, wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, new wires, new fuel injs, new distributor and cap, there's no reason for this bad of gas mileage, it's not even weighted down yet for a road trip. What the heck? I am not using overdrive at all, which I guess would improve gas mileage some. I've read many posts about using overdrive with most being don't use it, but a recent facebook post was talking about it and everyone said if you have a V-6 leave it in OD all the time UNLESS the load on it is constantly shifting in and out of gear. So should I leave it in OD and how much better do you think that's going to improve gas mileage?
  12. Ok I got my motorhome back tonight after valve adj. As per everyone else intake was ok,exhaust wasnt. Intake: .009,.009.011,.010,.010,.010 3 of the exhaust clearances were ok and 3 werent.I wish he would have replaced all the shims but he only replaced 3,not happy about it but nothing I can do now.2 were .007 which he made .011,one was .009 which he made .012,the others were .010,.010,.011 I wish he would have replaced all of them and made them .013 but he was the only guy I could find that I talked to that sounded like they had a clue to do the job.
  13. pretty cool looking vehicles, looks like a good time.I couldnt find any info on how those are powered, what are the rules? Are they all pedal powered?
  14. Wow really? How much did you sell it for?
  15. I've got mine in the shop now,I brought the shims I got from you with me and gave to him just in case one might be the right size.He was concerned about your engine because of that 1 shim of yours.I never really paid that much attn to them before but when we were looking at them together,on 5 of them you could read the numbers on them, but that discolored one was so scratched up and wore down he said something was off on your engine,I think he said something about the camshaft but I didnt press him on it,I can ask him for more info if you want me to when I pick mine up.
  16. I called them to see if they could overnight them to me if need be and thats when they told me I needed an acct and they dont sell to individuals, glad it worked out for you.Have an appt to bring rig in next week for valve adjustment so was looking for backup place to get shims if toyota doesnt have any. Palo Duro is pretty nice, those pics dont do it justice. We've camped there on vacation past 2 years, but last yr was trip from hell.Numerous things went wrong on the trip with the most expensive thing being hail storm that happened while we were there, big frickin hail tore up my truck and travel trailer. Did you hike up to the lighthouse? I dont know if you're into offroading but theres a big riding area right outside of Amarillo to ride, rode my buggy out there both trips. Crappy video I made couple years ago.
  17. So how did the trip go? Where did you buy your shims from? That place you provided the link too told me they don't sell to individuals.
