  1. On the shifting I'm not sure what speed it should be but 60 seemed like too high,and like I say at one point when I was driving around 45 for an extended period of time it did finally shift which makes me think its not working right.Neighborhood HOA has forced me to move RV out of driveway so I cant go check the ECT button,but if its pushed it would be an accident,do you know if a light comes on on the dash when its engaged? I have no extra light on dash on. Edit: drove to storage lot,RV does not have ECT engaged,light comes on in dash when activated
  2. Thanks Linda I might try that.I think I will just stick a small fan in there overnight one day and see if it helps before I buy one of these.

Well its Texas! lol Yeah it was hot but this may be my first Toyota its not my first rv and trust me its not working right.The other rvs I've owned have had no problems in the tx weather,sometimes the fridge wouldnt be as cold as I like but if I have brought them home and plugged them in while sitting in the driveway by the next morning a bottle of water that was in freezer is frozen,that hasnt been the case with this rv except the first time I tested it a couple months ago.Of course the weather was cooler then but like I said it hasnt been a problem for any other of my rvs including the Toyhauler I currently own also.

Looks like the last time fluid was changed was almost 9 years ago to the day,but not many miles ago.It was done at 102,000 and I've got 123,000 on it now.They did flush and looks like they filled it with Pennzoil multi viscosity fluid.Fluid level is a little high,its a little above the 2nd notch. I hate pulling the dipstick on tranny out on this thing,gotta fight like a mofo to get it to go back down tube,took me like 5 minutes to get it back in,the last 6 inches are a real yyyy,it gets hung up and doesn not want to go in

I dont know if I'm being paranoid or its just my mind playing tricks on me.Went on short road trip this weekend and transmission doesnt seem like its shifting properly.There were a couple times I noticed while driving in OD that it shifted to 2nd and 3rd ok but took a long time to kick into 4th or OD.One time I was driving about 40 -45 for what seemed like 4 to 5 minutes before last gear finally kicked in,in my mind I would think it should shift within 30 second to a minute at 45 mph staying the same speed,other times it seemed like it worked ok.I took a video,in this video I stay at 40 to 45 for 2 or 3 minutes waiting for it to shift into OD but it never does till I speed up to about 60 then it finally shifts.I noticed it doing this at least a couple times,is that normal?

I have the Dometic 2410.Since buying rv have only camped in it twice and both times fridge did not work correctly but it did in the driveway when I tested it a couple months ago.Hooked up to electric in driveway couple months ago,froze bottle of water overnight and water was cold in fridge.Took off for 1 night trip yesterday but had RV hooked up in driveway to get fridge cold day before we left,This trip I just took freezer was working somewhat but didnt freeze a bottle of water but about 1/2 way,fridge didnt feel like it was cool at all.Tubes were very warm in back of fridge.I see PO has installed bug screens,guess I will try removing them and see if hooking up a fan in there will help,any other suggestions? I ran it on propane for about 4 hrs but it didnt seem to work any better.
  7. Ok if you do buy the block kit do you need to be somewhat mechanically inclined, I had a hard time trying to figure out where to put everything and the instructions were not real clear. And you have to remove some parts that are not real easy to get to to take out the bolts and you will have to end up bypassing the coolant line,good luck

I dont know what the difference is in the 2 you listed but in my research the difference between the one you and I needed and the one everyone has available is ours has extra inlet that the coolant runs thru.You could try using one of the other valves available and bypass the coolant line but in my research I couldnt find an answer if that would work or how it would affect anything so I didnt try it.
  9. That is correct,it will not pass test. I don't know what the laws are in your state but in Texas it's over 25 years old it does not have to pass emissions so I'm not worried about it. I tried cleaning mine from some YouTube videos but it didn't work

I called them,they do not have it.I have already called every online parts house I could find and all major retail chains in my search.Lots of people claimed they had it but when called they didnt have it,I had one local parts house to me say they could order it and wanted 350 bucks for it,I paid them and a week later they couldnt get it after all and refunded my money.Like I said,when I got that one from U-haul I think I got the last one in the USA In my search I also saw that they claim they have them in Japan,but I didnt want to just order one on the internet and see if it would show up but that's up to OP what he wants to do,but If he finds one in USA he will think he has won the lotto because thats how hard they are to find.

  12. I am getting a bunch of emails now for the 3vze engine swap thread, just started getting them today,wasn't getting them before and I didn't change any settings.

I was throwing the egr code when I first got mine in December,and man that was a long screwed up process trying to find one.Lots of places claim they have it or can get it but I've come to find out they cant.A garage I took it to said they had a supplier in California that could get one but it was 6 or 700 bucks and I said no thanks.After a lot of searching I got super super lucky and I think I found the last one available from U-Haul ebay store.I found an old listing where they had sold one a year ago and I emailed them and they checked their inventory and they had 1 left and I bought it,but it didnt fix my problem.I ended up taking off the egr components and installing a block kit,I suggest you do the same.   16. Ive only done front cab and rear of coach so far,but I think you can see a difference in the front of coach and the side that I havent done.
  17. In the middle of this project now,taking a break.Heres some before pic,dont know how well we will be able to tell how good it will look after with it being white but we'll see.
  18. Heres pics of my setup that was done by PO.Looks like it was never used to tow{although I think it would be strong enough}but just used for cargo carrier. First pic is 1st weld to underside and so on.It extends to another added bar thats welded onto original bumper then wheels added to keep rear from dragging on inclines. Edit: 2nd pic is where the bars first are welded to frame.
