  1. True, running the engine for just power is little too much, but this rig for work runs not for living in. But when i need the power for anything including welding or machine work, my setup will do the job very well. After getting a big Inverter, realized these Two House Batteries will not cut the mustard for heavy use. Plus the added weight is not what i want. Where just tossing ideas out here, It may never happen. depends on how the truck in going to used in the future. for now it is fine. Everything works.
  2. Not Really, If your going to do it right for a full load draw with AC on my idea is the best, less drain on batteries and recharge time is alot faster than the solar panel. Already have the 2k draw set up and is working fine for small busts of use. Useless your going for all green all off the grid than by all means bolt as many solar panels or even put them around your rig for extra power. One day we might need green machines if the govt does not ban them first like their doing with homes in some states.
  3. Not Practical for Real world purposes. Run Generator for AC. My Plan is to have second alternator installed and run the Engine. Much more efficient. Cause there is no way in hell those batteries will hold up for long with AC on. 10-20 minutes tops with 5k continuous 10k peak inverter. But this my plan for the future. You do what you feel is best. Peace Milt
  4. That is a cute RIG, Makes me want order one. Was just a kid when those where made. Good solid Vehicle. Welcome to the forum.
  5. Does the Generator use the same fuel engine pump? or is there a second pump for the flow to the Generator? The Generator is not getting fuel flow. Tried AIR at gas Cap to see if would come out and still nothing. leaning on it was wired wrong with just a T there when the new tank was put in a few years back when my friend had it. Going remove the line see if the second line is clog or plugged. Thanks for any help or suggestions
  6. Found the Toyota Part # for the VENT. Without a breather, or if your breather is clogged, the pressure that builds up inside the axle housing will most likely push gear oil past your pinion or axle seals.

  9. Take the Carb off and soak it in carb cleaner over night, then use a air hose to blow out the holes, most of the time it's a sticky float from gum build up. any event really no need for a new one. Worked on all my motorcycles i ever had, should work for the Gen as well. Might need a new gasket is all, maybe not, depends on the condition.
  10. Check the Toyoyta Parts Place, When i put the VIN # in, says does not fit my Truck and there is no pictures of it either. Here is an Email from the parts place, took two weeks to reply. 14. Greetings Toyota Camper Owners, I'm looking for at least 2 RIMs that will fit the front and back. The Current Tires are 6 ply (65 PSI). From the looks of it they are 185R14C. Been the local dealers in town here and they could order the Tires, but i'm looking the RIMS for Spares. Don't even know what type these RIMS are. Most i can do is Attach or Post a Picture of it below. Any Help would be greatly Appreciated.
