I spray painted mine black. Personally I hate white wheels on an rv. If you do it yourself, spend time sanding and your paint job always looks better. Also you can do one wheel at a time and throw your spare on, so your still mobile, that's what I did. Pick your poison, your wheels!

Looks like a new stove!! All my rusty stainless steel I sanded and sprayed with high heat semi gloss black $7 bucks at lowes. And with my almond stove top and folding cover, it's a good quick fix. For those of you in WA State I found a great used parts rv store: West Coast RV Recycling and sales. Basically a used rv parts what're house!! 1103 west Reynolds ave Centralia wa 98531 360-669-0346 Nice guy running it. Tons of windows, ladders, stoves, lots of small parts handles, etc.

I'll be painting my trim with high heat black, and my stainless oven door is rusty so I'll paint that too. I think it will contrast well with the almond top and cover I got at a used rv store. Nice article on wapiti, my uncle in the early 80's did live deer extraction with a net gun flying low in a helicopter, and would tie trophy deers legs together and hoist away live back to a fenced big game farm! Pretty lucrative business for awhile.

I'm about to remove my left rear Sunrader emergency exit window, it rattles and water seeps in below it. Is it worth doing it yourself, or better to take window to a glass specialist? I've never taken this type of window out? I want this fixed before replacing the interior panel and insulating. Might have to wait for warmer weather though. Any window experts out there?

Anyone removed a wedge wood stove/oven? I want to remove the rear flange that has the airflow vent in it. I have the 4 burner top and oven combo. Do I need to remove the entire unit? All I really want is to remove the rear top flange. See my pic, the last stainless part in the rear of photo. Why? I scored a few used parts today! See second pic! My stove top will look brand new when I'm done. I need to add 2 small bolts to add the new stove cover under the rear flange, and I want to sand a polish my existing stainless.

I tow my 22' 110 pound double sea kayak ( often with 200 pounds of gear in it)on a very light kayak trailer with my 18' Sunrader which has a 4 cylinder with turbo. Bumper is solid. Braking is my only worry. I drive very cautiously. I would not pull more than 500 lbs and hopefully you are experienced with years of towing? Give yourself plenty of braking room!! Take your time

Northwest off-road sells a bolt on Nippon 100 amp. Cost more. But it just bolted in along with electrical plug. Just check what plug you have, square or round, give them a call. http://www.northwestoffroad.com

Why not epoxy over all your wood, that would give it a nice water proof finish before you put your interior panels in. Just an idea.

kayakthecoast replied to zero's topic in General Discussion
Probably simply not registered, and it looks like its stashed in storage. Might be a good find! -

I ordered these for my rear outside only dually tires. They have the right clearance and should work ok. Pretty cheap, 30 day warranty, and free shipping! I heard they have good customer relations. They are not light truck rated, my rig is 4wheel drive and I only need them for (legally) accessing National Parks so I went with the cheep ones! 90% of the time I usually only use chains on the front for my local forest roads for backcountry ski trips - with 4x4 it works fine going slow and it seems to plow a nice path for good traction for my rear tires without chains. http://www.etrailer.com/p-TC1550.html these fit 215 75 R15, my wheel size and have the "S" rating for minimal tire clearance. I have a set of heavier duty ones for the front which has plenty of clearance.
