  1. Just to make sure I'm inferring things right, the ignigter won't spark if the sail switch is faulty?
  2. Another newbie chiming in! I'm looking at installing a tranny oil temp guage, and was wondering which of the 2 lines running to the radiator and cooler is the incoming and which is the outgoing? Haven't climbed under the trans yet since its been raining and SNOWING IN SOUTH CAROLINA (it's fun to poke fun when you're from Wisconsin) so I don't know how it hooks into the trans, and for all I know its clearly labeled with arrows and everything, but until it's cleared up and I'm not working 13 hour days on 3rd shift, with a wonderful, beautiful, caring wife who will threaten to shoot me if I don't go to bed after breakfast/dinner, this is the best way I have of finding out :-) Thanks! And sorry for the silliness, been up for 48 hours now... but only 2 days left at work! And then one day off...
  3. Lowe's has a store version of the sharkbite (which I've only seen at Home Depot) for about 2/3 the cost, but if you have extra money to spend people like the sharkbite brand more for some reason. I personally rebel against the sharkbite brand because they print the instructions INSIDE the package, so you have to tear it apart to read it, which deters people from trying to return it, IMHO... but then again I'm from Wisconsin, so you already know I'm crazy
  4. What's everyone's opinion of having a bbq tank on the back of your rig, like in a cargo box like Mike just talked about? Since mine is missing it's tank that would make my life a WHOLE lot easier than trying to figure out a tank that will fit without putting a large hole in the floor of MY WIFE's (not mine) camper... maybe I can use it to help convince her she doesn't want to take the interstate from South Carolina to Idaho?
  5. Attach to roof with a spiral crank to adjust solar panel angles for maximum charge? Hinges for a false floor top? Ceiling mounted flat screen tv?
  6. Interesting, I've had to deal with both measurements when ordering stainless steel wire rings for making chainmaille from Canada, had no idea SWG was actually getting uncommon... good to know! This thread can probably be deleted or at least moved... doesn't really add much to the electrical forum, just couldn't resist saying something when the thought crossed my mind (blame 3rd shift... and wires that change colors 5 times in a single run...)
  7. Since this is a Toyota forum, and Toyota is all metric, when we talk wiring, is it American Wire Gauge or Standard Wire Gauge? Just something that came across my mind after tracking down ALL the wiring in my wife's new 87 Mini-Cruiser... including the "Protech Electronic Rust Inhibitor"... yep, it's still there... and (finally) realizing that the converter/charger doesn't give the RV 110 power from 12v, only the other way around... but I know where the wires are! Oh! the breaker box has a green main, but the red and blue are what exactly? Is one for the fridge and the other for outlets?
